A look at some notable facts and figures from the Boston Red Sox's 1-0 win over the Detroit Tigers in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series at Comerica Park on Tuesday.

• ALCS Game 3 was the 46th 1-0 game in postseason history, and it's just the fourth time there have been two such games in a single series.

• There have been four 1-0 playoff games in the last 11 days. There were three in the previous 11 years.

• Of the previous 31 occasions, the team with the 2-1 advantage has gone on to win the series 23 times

• Through the first 24 innings of the ALCS, the Red Sox were tied or behind after 23 innings

• John Lackey pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings to complete the seventh start in Red Sox history in which a pitcher has struck out at least eight batters without walking any.

• Lackey's eight strikeouts set a new career postseason high and were the most by a Red Sox pitcher since Jon Lester struck out eight Rays in Game 7 of the 2008 ALCS.

• Justin Verlander extended his career-high scoreless-innings streak to 34 before Mike Napoli homered in the seventh inning.

• The Red Sox were hitting .065 off Tigers starting pitchers this series before Napoli's home run.

• Napoli's homer off Verlander came with two strikes, marking the first time Verlander has allowed a two-strike home run since July 7 against Adam Dunn.

• Verlander didn't allow a hit until Jonny Gomes singled in the fifth inning. Tigers starters have gone four straight games without allowing a hit the first time through the batting order.

• Verlander set a record with his sixth postseason start with 10 or more strikeouts. He's the second pitcher in postseason history to strike out 10 more while allowing one run or fewer in three consecutive starts.

• Tigers pitchers have struck out 11 or more batters in four straight postseason games dating back to Game 5 of the AL Division Series against Oakland, the second-longest postseason streak in history.

• Miguel Cabrera was 0-for-4 to end his streak of 32 consecutive postseason games in which he's reached base. Cabrera has reached base in 47 of the 50 postseason games (combined totals from Marlins and Tigers) he has played in his career.

• Stephen Drew broke an 0-for-16 skid when he singled to right field in the eighth inning.
