Reynolds out at first as Mets win challenge

MILWAUKEE -- Mets manager Terry Collins successfully challenged a call in the eighth inning of New York's 5-2 loss to the Brewers on Saturday night at Miller Park.

With two outs and a runner on third base, Brewers batter Mark Reynolds sent a chopper to third base, which was fielded by David Wright and thrown to first.

First-base umpire Dan Bellino originally called Reynolds safe as it appeared Lucas Duda's foot came off the bag. The safe call allowed Khris Davis to score from third on the play.

But after Collins' challenge, the call was overturned as replay showed that Duda had touched the bag before Reynolds did.

The overturned call took Davis' run off the board and ended the eighth inning.
