Mets lose challenge on double play

LOS ANGELES -- Mets manager Terry Collins lost a replay challenge in the fourth inning Friday at Dodger Stadium, and an inning-ending double play stood.

With David Wright on first and one out, Lucas Duda hit a ground ball to the right side, where Adrian Gonzalez fielded it, stepped on first base and fired to second. Because of the nature of the play, shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena needed to tag Wright to complete the double play.

Umpires initially ruled that he did, and Collins challenged that Wright was safe. The ruling was upheld after Collins challenged.

The replay loss was Collins' 15th in 27 attempts this season.
