Replay overturns caught stealing for Tigers

Originally called out, Davis credited with stolen base in third inning

CHICAGO -- Tigers manager Brad Ausmus won a third-inning challenge against the White Sox on Wednesday that ultimately made no difference.

With two outs and Ian Kinsler at the plate, Rajai Davis was caught going on first move by White Sox starter John Danks. First baseman Jose Abreu threw to second, and Davis was called out on the tag by Gordon Beckham.

But Davis popped up immediately and signaled as if he were safe. That brought Ausmus out of the dugout, and the call was overturned after a brief review.

Kinsler then flew out to foul territory in left on the very next pitch, ending the inning with the White Sox leading, 1-0.
