Rockies lose challenge in first inning

DENVER -- A steal of third base by Dodgers leadoff hitter Chone Figgins in top of the first inning on Sunday afternoon at Coors Field was confirmed after an instant replay challenge by Rockies manager Walt Weiss.

With runners at first and second and one out, Figgins beat catcher Wilin Rosario's throw. Third-base umpire Alan Porter made a call.

The following hitter, Matt Kemp, delivered a two-run triple off Rockies starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa, giving the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.

Weiss is 8-for-14 on replay challenges this season.
