Quinn sidelined with minor hamstring issue

August 26th, 2018

TORONTO -- has been the hottest hitter and biggest spark in the Phillies' lineup the past several days.
But he will not play in Sunday afternoon's series finale against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre because of a left hamstring issue. Quinn tweaked his leg trying to make a catch in Saturday's 8-6 loss. The Phillies do not believe it is serious, and there is a chance Quinn could return to action as early as Monday against the Nationals at Citizens Bank Park.
"Given his history of soft tissue and trauma injuries, we're erring on the side of caution," Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said. "We expect to have him soon."
Quinn is hitting .357 with four doubles, one triple, one home run, six RBIs, five stolen bases and an .897 OPS in 24 games with the Phillies. He has four consecutive multi-hit games and a 1.204 OPS in his last nine games.
