Drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 21st round of the 2012 MLB June Amateur Draft from Galena HS (Reno, Nev.)...signed one-year deal with the Tigers on Dec. 16, 2025, as a free agent.

2024-25

Played in the KBO in both 2024 and 2025, and appeared in nine Minor League games with the Toledo Mud Hens in 2024...Posted a 2.91 ERA (93ER/287.1IP) with 403 strikeouts in 54 appearances and 53 starts over two seasons in the KBO... in 2024 became the fastest pitcher in the KBO to reach 100 strikeouts...Posted a 3.05 ERA (39ER/115IP) and 98 strikeouts in 34 appearances in two seasons with the NPB.

Named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending July 25 after making two starts during the week and throwing 14.0 scoreless innings with six hits allowed, two walks and 11 strikeouts...Equaled the longest outing of his big league career on Aug. 19 vs. Seattle, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing a run on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts...On the injured list from Aug. 24-Sept. 13.

2020

Was in the White Sox spring training camp as a non-roster invitee and was a member of team’s 60-man summer camp roster…was selected by White Sox on 8/8 and pitched that night in relief vs. CLE (1.1 IP, 4 H, 6 R-ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 2 HR)… was designated for assignment the next day and outrighted to Alternate Training Site on 8/11…was released on 9/3…made three appearances for the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League this winter, posting 5.0 scoreless innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts. 

2019

Spent most of the season with Class AAA Lehigh Valley in the Philadelphia organization...Was recalled by the Phillies on 4/15 and worked 2.0 scoreless IP that night vs. the Mets…was optioned on 4/16...Was recalled again on 4/20, optioned on 4/24, recalled a third time and optioned on 5/24 for the remainder of the season...Was placed on the Lehigh Valley injured list on 6/24 with right elbow inflammation and missed the remainder of the season...Was designated for assignment on 9/1 and released on 9/2.

2018

Spent majority of the season with Lehigh Valley (AAA)... Was on the minor league 7-day DL with a right forearm strain, 4/8-5/12... Allowed three runs or fewer in 16 of his 19 starts with Lehigh Valley and two or fewer in 12... Had 3 stints with the Phillies: 7/8, 7/24-25 and 9/11-end of season...Made his first ML start on 7/8 at PIT, his only ML start of the season...Three of his four ML relief appearances were 2.0 innings or more.

2017

Spent most of the season with Reading (AA)...Went a combined 9-4, 3.46 ERA (44 ER, 114.1 IP) in 22 starts between Reading and Lehigh Valley (AAA)...Posted a 2.67 ERA in 19 of his 21 starts for Reading; allowed 12 ER in 3.1 IP in the other two starts...Selected as an Eastern League midseason All-Star and was named EL Pitcher of the Week twice: 5/8-14 and 5/29-6/4...Held double-A hitters to a .207 AVG (81-391)...Recalled on 8/1 and made his ML debut that night at LAA before being optioned back to Reading following the game; had another ML stint, 8/23-26...First career strikeout was Mike Trout, 8/1 at LAA.

2016

Began the season on the DL while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery...Was activated on 5/20 and made his season debut with Lakewood (A) on 5/22...Posted a 1.93 ERA (7 ER, 32.2 IP) over his first 6 starts...Promoted to Clearwater (A) on 7/8...Named Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Week, 8/15-21...Averaged 10.2 SO/9.0 IP for Clearwater...Was on the DL, 8/7-14 (right great toe sprain) and again from 8/29 through the remainder of season (right knee sprain)

2015

Missed the entire season following Tommy John surgery (4/2/15).

2014

Pitched for Lakewood...Went 3-2, 2.43 ERA (8 ER, 29.2 IP) over his fi nal 6 starts before being placed on DL on 6/9 (right elbow sprain)...Transferred to Gulf Coast League Phillies (R) on 7/26 and made 2 appearances before being shut down for the remainder of the season.

Spent the season with Williamsport (A) and led the team in ERA (2.00), wins (6) and innings (76.1)...Allowed 3 ER or fewer in all 15 starts...Twice named Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Week: 7/29-8/4 and 8/26-9/1...Went 2-2, 3.42 ERA (10 ER, 27.1 IP) over his fi rst 5 starts before going 4-1, 1.26 ERA (7 ER, 50.0 IP) in his fi nal 10 starts...Participated in Florida Instructional League.
