High School...His mother, Jina, was a member of Wichita State’s golf team, and his father, Chad, competed in track & field for Oklahoma State University...Was a two-way player at Wichita State University (2022- 23) and Texas Christian University (2024)...At TCU, was a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy; was recognized by the Big 12 as Pitcher of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and an All-Conference First Team selection...In 2023, was a finalist for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award...In the Community Attended Fenway Fest in January 2026, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans...Participated in the 2026 Red Sox Holiday Caravan, visiting patients battling cancer, local youth and non-profit organizations across greater Boston.

Played in his first professional season...Was selected to the Major League roster on 8/29 and made his MLB debut that night vs. PIT as the starting pitcher...At 22 years, 301 days old, became the youngest left-handed pitcher to start in their ML debut for the Red Sox since Eduardo Rodríguez on 5/28/15 at TEX (22 years, 51 days) and the youngest to do so at home since Félix Doubront on 6/18/10 vs. LAD (22 years, 238 days)...Joined Juan Peña (5/8/99 vs. ANA) as the only Red Sox pitchers to toss 5.0+ IP, allow three or fewer hits, and record 8+ SO in their ML debut (Peña: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 8 SO)...Only allowed two earned runs over 9.1 IP at Fenway Park (7 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 13 SO)...Recorded a 3.62 ERA (20 ER/49.2 IP) in 11 games (10 starts with High-A Greenville, a 1.67 ERA (5 ER/27 IP) in six games (five starts) with Double-A Portland, and a 3.60 ERA (6 ER/91.2 IP) in three starts for Triple-A Worcester.
