Rays and Levy introduce renovated facilities and new menu items for 2018

Today, the Tampa Bay Rays and Levy introduced renovated facilities and new retail and menu items at Tropicana Field for the 2018 season in a facility tour and media tasting event. Levy and its retail division, Rank + Rally, have dramatically overhauled the food, beverage and retail experience at Tropicana Field, with the Rays investing $7 million in capital improvements to renovate amenities, update culinary equipment and invest in new technologies.

Rays Republic Team Store
The newly-renovated, two-level main store features expanded collections for all fans, including a large selection of women's and children's merchandise. A custom-built hat wall, capable of holding 350 caps, is featured in the center of the store's rst level, crowned by a 12-foot Rays Burst hanging from above it. A custom jersey design center where fans can personalize jerseys and T-shirts is also on the rst oor. The second level is an interactive destination for guests, featuring games and Rays-branded beach gear for sale. A new queuing system will improve and expedite the purchasing process. Rays Republic is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., as well as during games.

Rank + Rally carries a line of 20th Anniversary-themed retail items this season in the Rays Republic, including pins, lanyards, Tervis tumblers and special men's and women's fashion T-shirts. All Rays player jerseys and T-shirts will have the 20th Anniversary logo and will only be available during the 2018 season.

Levy Concessions Concepts
Levy offers creative twists on classic baseball fare at stands throughout the First and Third Base Food Halls and Center Field Street, including a Reuben Cuban sandwich at Pressed, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich at Bird + Batter, and a BBQ Dog with Pulled Pork and Slaw at Whoa Doggy's. The new Rocco Ball Deli stand in the First Base Food Hall, celebrating Rays coach and former center elder Rocco Baldelli, offers a Traditional Beef Meatball Handwich with Marinara Sauce, and vegetarian Italian selections: Caprese Salad and Tri-Colori Salad. Look, too, for distinctive burger recipes at Central Burger and tacos, nachos and fresh guacamole at Fresh Mex.

New Local Concession Offerings:

  • Go To Steve's Restaurants & Catering encompasses many Tampa Bay staples, including Parkshore Grill, 400 Beach, The Annex and The Hangar. Go To Steve's Restaurants will be the presenting partner of the "Beach Drive" stand in the Third Base Food Hall, featuring items from all four restaurants. The menu includes Grouper Wraps, Blue Cheese Meatballs, BBQ Chicken & Bacon Quesadillas and the Annex Cuban Sandwich.

  • Hunger + Thirst is featured prominently on the Budweiser Porch in center eld with portable carts for both The Avenue and King's Street Food Counter. Fans can enjoy classic items from their menus, including King's Grilled Cheese, Cuban Nachos, Blueberry Bacon Sliders and Corn Dog Nuggets. Hunger + Thirst introduces the newly-created indoor/ outdoor bar space behind the Budweiser Porch, named "Ballpark & Rec," inspired by the popular bar concept Park & Rec in downtown St. Petersburg, serving specialty drinks, arcade games and an outdoor lounge and gaming space.

  • Tampa-based Kahwa has its own stand on the 100 Level near Section 102 featuring Kahwa's signature coffee, as well as treats and pastries from their shops. Kahwa Coffee will also be available to fans on a portable cart location on the 100 level and featured in clubs and suites throughout the ballpark.

  • Moon Under Water, an authentic British Colonial pub in downtown St. Petersburg, will have a presence in a large stand in Center Field Street. Fans can enjoy British pub favorites, including Fish & Chips, Meat Pie and The Moon's Curry with Fries.

  • TradeWinds Island Resorts will bring several food items from their agship beach restaurant RumFish Grill to a portable cart featured on the Budweiser Porch. The menu includes Firecracker Shrimp, Mahi Tacos and Tuna Poke. RumFish Grill also introduces the new RumFish Grill Deck, a catered, group-ticket space in center eld that offers menu favorites from the restaurant.

Local Craft Beer Program:

  • The Rays launched a new local craft beer program at Tropicana Field, featuring a variety of styles and flavors from Tampa Bay breweries. Breweries to be featured include Coppertail Brewing Co., Cigar City Brewing, Tampa Bay Brewing Co., 3 Daughters Brewing, Green Bench Brewing Co., St. Pete Brewing Co., Motorworks Brewing and Cycle Brewing, among others. The TB Brews program is featured in various locations, including a stand in Right Field Street, the Craft Beer Corner, The Out elder -- the Rays newly renovated bar space in Center Field Street - and portable draft carts on the 100 and 300 levels.

Returning Local Concession Offerings:

  • URBAN Restaurants Group returns to Tropicana Field with menu options from two of their Central Avenue, St. Petersburg shops: URBAN Brew and BBQ and URBAN Comfort. With a large stand in the First Base Food Hall, look for URBAN's Fried Chicken Biscuit, Pulled Pork Platter and Mac & Cheese.

In addition to new retail and menu options, the Rays have invested in new technologies to enhance the fan experience at Tropicana Field. New digital boards at the front of concession stands increase visibility of menu choices. New touchscreen kiosks throughout the ballpark allow fans to easily order food to be picked up at a nearby stand. A new partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida brings Coca-Cola Refresh Stations to Tropicana Field for easy re lls of 20th Anniversary Souvenir sodas.
