Rays upgrade premium seating for return to Trop

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Since the Rays’ new ownership group assumed control of the club, CEO Ken Babby has often said Tropicana Field will look better than ever when the team reopens the ballpark on April 6.

Some areas are sure to be new and improved, as the Rays on Friday revealed they are renovating multiple premium club spaces at Tropicana Field. Those changes, which will be funded by the club and separate from the ballpark’s extensive repairs after Hurricane Milton, include what the team called “full transformations” of The Baldwin Group Club, the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club and ballpark suites.

“Simply put, our fans deserve the best, and we are committed to setting a new standard for premium experience in all of these new neighborhoods at Tropicana Field,” Babby said. “The upgrades reflect our ownership group’s new vision for creating elevated, memorable spaces that offer the best in hospitality while also staying connected to the energy and excitement that makes Rays baseball special.”

The premium club spaces will be ready and available in time for the Rays’ home opener against the Cubs on April 6. Season ticket memberships (including 20-game, half-season and full-season plans) for those areas are on sale, according to the team, with limited options remaining. The Baldwin Group Club, which is located on the fourth floor of the Trop, has been completely redesigned. The space will feature new flooring, an expanded media and video wall, new lighting and lounge furniture. They are also introducing new food and beverage offerings to the area.

The Tropicana Room, located inside The Baldwin Group Club, has also been renovated and will now serve as the exclusive dining area and lounge for the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club. Both areas will be available for special events and rentals on non-game days.

Located just behind the backstop, the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club has been completely renovated and overhauled. The club has taken spaces that were previously used for storage and food service and transformed them into a new speakeasy, featuring craft cocktails and a lounge, as well as a specialty candy room for fans of all ages.

The Rays are also upgrading their Executive Suites, which are located behind home plate on the main concourse level. The suites will feature high-end finishes and fixtures, in-suite restrooms, new appliances and furniture. They have reimagined the Premium Suites on the new Webull Suite Level, presenting redesigned interiors with enhanced lighting, upgraded technology, new cabinetry and quartz countertops along with new furniture and improved layouts for entertaining and hosting.
