VICE PRESIDENT, SPECIAL PROJECTS
Sandy Sternberg joined the Rays in 2018 and was recently promoted to vice president of special projects, directing strategic initiatives and supporting ownership across business, baseball and stadium development. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president (2025) and director (2023-24) of concessions and retail, overseeing all strategy and operations related to the Rays best-in-class food, beverage and merchandise programs. Before that, he served as director of baseball operations (2018-22), focusing on roster management, internal valuation processes and player development. Prior to joining the Rays, Sternberg worked in private equity real estate, film and finance. He received a bachelor of arts in public policy from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Sternberg and his wife, Katherine, reside in Tampa with their son, Hunter.
