Opening Day Event Timeline

7 a.m. - The O.G. at McGregor Square opens

9 a.m. - Opening Day festivities presented by Coors Light begins at McGregor Square, featuring games and activities for all ages

  • Mile Post Zero at McGregor Square opens
  • Coors Field parking lots open

10 a.m. - Live DJ at McGregor Square

1:30 p.m. - Pregame Ceremonies begin

  • First pitch by Habitat for Humanity homeowner Yareni and her daughter, presented by Arrow Electronics: Arrow Electronics, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, is building the first affordable smart home community in Aurora. Twenty qualifying families will experience this innovative affordable home design at the Mountain View community that features enhanced security, safety and efficiency systems. Working alongside volunteers, families help build their own homes and, through Habitat’s established programs, secure an affordable mortgage. In its 46-year history in Denver, Habitat has helped more than 2,200 local families build and buy affordable homes.

  • First pitch by Boys & Girls Club City Youth of the Year Shaila Ramirez: Shaila was selected as the 2025 Boys & Girls Club City Youth of the Year for her outstanding leadership, resilience, and passion. A senior at KIPP Denver Collegiate High, she holds a 4.27 GPA and is graduating at the top of her class. Shaila has been an accomplished member of the J. Churchill Owen Branch, the Rockies sponsored club, for the past 11 years.

  • First pitch by Pete Coors, celebrating 30 years of Coors Field: As a key stakeholder in the formation of the Colorado Rockies and the building of Coors Field, Pete Coors played an instrumental role in bringing Major League Baseball to Denver. His vision and leadership helped turn a dream into reality, creating not only a team but a beloved ballpark at 20th and Blake. Pete and his family have been Season Ticket Holders since 1993.

  • Introductions of the Athletics and Colorado Rockies

  • Presentation of center field flag by U.S. Armed Services Honor Guard and local first responders

  • National anthem performed by Stellar Brass with Technical Sergeant Denver Murphy, accompanied by fireworks

  • Planned flyover conducted by the F-16 Fighting Falcons, flown by pilots of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard out of Buckley Space Force Base

2:08 p.m. - Rockies take the field, accompanied by fireworks

2:10 p.m. - Play ball!

What's New at Coors Field

NEW BITS & BITES

Rox Grill (Section 125)

The Rox Grill is the third Coors Field concession stand to feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, joining the Coors Light Chill Zone and the Epic Western Saloon, and the first featuring hot food items. All three stands are designed to eliminate checkout lines leaving more time for fans to enjoy the game. To enter the store, guests simply use their credit card or hover their palm over the Amazon One device at the entry gate. Once inside, guests will be able to choose from an array of food and beverages, and the technology detects what is taken from (or returned to) shelves. Once finished, guests can simply leave the store without having to wait in line for checkout, and their choice of payment method will be charged only for the items they took with them.

Triple Play Sliders (Section 115)

Triple Play Sliders debuts at Coors Field featuring three specialty slider options detailed below. Each order includes three sliders of the same variety.

• Italian Slider – Toasted slider buns, spicy Italian sausage, pesto, fried cheese ravioli covered in balsamic marinara.

• Birria Slider – Toasted slider bun, birria, melted chihuahua cheese, topped with cilantro and onion.

• Chorizo Slider – Toasted slider bun, chorizo patty, guacamole, salsa molcajete, melted chihuahua cheese.

Polidori (Sections 107 & 321)

Following its successful debut campaign at Coors Field in 2024, Polidori expands to two additional locations, adding stands in the concourse above sections 107 and 321 in addition to its existing outfield location. All locations will feature these specialty brats:

• Polidori Chorizo Brat – chihuahua cheese with bacon pieces and corn, topped with potato stix.

• Hatch Green Chile Brat – topped with poblano, bell peppers and onions.

• Jalapeno Cheddar Brat – topped with poblano, bell peppers, onions, fresh jalapenos, and bacon pieces.

The SandLot Brewery (Right Field Corner)

A Coors Field cornerstone, The SandLot Brewery will present a 30th Anniversary Lager and add smoked wings to its menu. Both items will be available in The SandLot and various locations around the ballpark. The in-house brewery will unveil three additional exclusive beverages for 2025: Sandlot Shandy, Sandlot Slam and Wicked Hop.

Walk Thru Bru (Section 130)

One of 12 such stations throughout the ballpark, Coors Field’s Walk Thru Bru locations will feature six of the ballpark’s favorite beverages and are designed for fast service.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS

• Dessert Nachos (Section 134 Grill) – Fried flour tortillas tossed in cinnamon sugar, topped with powdered sugar and caramel drizzle and served with a side of whipped cream.

• Smoked Chicken Wings (Sand Lot Brewery) – Brined and slow smoked in-house, hand tossed in your choice of buffalo or BBQ sauce and served with a side of Ranch dressing.

• Wazee Burger (Sections 125 and 137) – Toasted potato bun, half pound beef patty, sliced cheddar cheese, bacon, boom boom sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

• Frozen Fastballs (Section 202) – 16 oz alcoholic or non-alcoholic snow cones in a souvenir Rockies Fastball cup. Choose between mango, strawberry, Italian watermelon or raspberry wild.

COORS FIELD SUSTAINABILITY

New in 2025: Expanded Composting

• The Rockies have added a composting element within new trash and recycling bins on the Club Level and in premium seating areas.

• The updated trash and recycling bins can also be found in tandem on the main concourse, making recycling easier for fans.

• All concession stands and employee break rooms will house composting bins.

In 2024, the Rockies composted waste from the main kitchen and employee and media dining, along with grass trimmings totaling 71.18 tons of recycled materials.

2024-25 Offseason

As the Rockies gear up to celebrate Coors Field’s 30th anniversary in 2025, they continue to make improvements that preserve the beauty and sustainability of the ballpark.

This offseason, the Rockies donated items from facility upgrades to local organizations:

• American Samaritan: 60 outdoor barstools, two couches and other small furniture

• Assistance League of Denver: 30 wheelchairs

• Douglas County School District: 50 recycling cans (in partnership with Waste Management advisory team)

• 2,000 wood pallets

• 130.46 tons of cardboard

• 39.47 tons of plastic and aluminum

30TH ANNIVERSARY OF COORS FIELD

The Rockies will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Coors Field in 2025. It is the third-oldest ballpark in the National League trailing Wrigley Field (opened in 1914) and Dodger Stadium (opened in 1962). On Saturday, April 26, when the Rockies take on the Cincinnati Reds at 1:10 p.m., fans are invited to join 30th anniversary festivities as the organization honors three decades of Rockies baseball at 20th and Blake, 30 years to the day of the first regular season game at Coors Field. The celebration includes:

• A ceremonial first pitch from former Rockies’ outfielder and Blake Street Bomber Dante Bichette.

• A special 30th Anniversary ticket package, including a limited-edition Dante Bichette t-shirt, is available for purchase at rockies.com/themes.

• A throwback concessions combo, featuring a Super Dog and medium fountain drink for just $5.

• Key moments from the 1995 season highlighted throughout the game, bringing fans back to the ballpark’s early days with a ‘90s-themed atmosphere, including music, scoreboard visuals and throwbacks to the Rockies’ inaugural postseason run.

• A special 30th anniversary baseball will be used on the field throughout the game, with game-used baseballs available for purchase at the Authentics kiosk on the third base concourse.

TODD HELTON AND LARRY WALKER CONFERENCE ROOMS

Located on the first base suite level, Coors Field’s large conference rooms have been rebranded to honor Rockies Hall of Famers Larry Walker and Todd Helton. Utilized primarily on non-game days throughout the year, the Helton Conference Room accommodates up to 180 people while the Walker Conference Room accommodates up to 147 people. Both rooms may be booked on a game day to hold a pre-game event, then allow participants to attend the game in the adjacent suite afterward. The newly designed spaces include specialty Hall of Fame placards and new photos of each player.

Parking & Arrival

Arrive early as there is expected to be heavy demand for parking throughout downtown. Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive at least one hour early to be in their seats for first pitch!

Parking lots will open at 9 a.m.

Coors Field parking lots are located off Park Avenue at Wazee (take the 38th / Park exit off I-25).

  • For easiest entry on Opening Day, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive at least one hour early and plan to be in their seats by 1:15 p.m. as Opening Day pregame ceremonies begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.
  • All Rockies tickets are digital. Fans are encouraged to access their digital tickets BEFORE they head to the game. Download the MLB Ballpark app on your smartphone for ticket access.
  • CLEAR members can enter through a dedicated lane located at Gate C. In addition, fans can enroll for CLEAR stadium access at Gate C free of charge for use of the lane on Opening Day and throughout the season.
  • Only single-pocket bags that are no larger than 16”x16”x8” can be brought into the ballpark. Backpacks and other multi-pocket bags, including multi-pocket purses, are NOT permitted. All permitted bags will be subject to search.
  • Coors Field is a cashless facility. Apple Pay is accepted in all ballpark retail and concession locations.
