BOB STAMPS GAMEDAY ASSOCIATE OF THE YEAR AWARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Kansas City Royals Baseball Corporation ("Royals" or "Kansas City Royals") is accepting nominations for its Bob Stamps Gameday Associate of the Year Award (the "Program") beginning 10:00 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on April 23, 2024, and ending at 11:59 p.m. CT on September 8, 2024 ("Nomination Period"). The Program will honor and recognize one (1) Royals or Aramark, BEST, or KU Med (each, a "Service Partner") event staff associate who consistently exhibits pride, teamwork, guest service, and character while working at the ballpark. To submit a nomination, nominator must (a) be a legal resident of the United States including its territories/commonwealths/possessions and the District of Columbia of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction (and at least 18 years of age) at the time of nomination submission and (b) have permission of the nominee prior to submitting nominee’s name. Only 2024 Service Partner event staff associates (e.g., Gameday/seasonal positions) of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence and at least eighteen (18) years of age are eligible to receive the Program Award. The Program is subject to all applicable federal, state, territory and local laws, rules and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, rules or regulations.
Select members of the Kansas City Royals front office will evaluate all eligible nominees in consideration of its selection of eligible nominees who are most worthy of receiving this Program Award. The Kansas City Royals will select one (1) potential eligible nominee most deserving of receiving the Program Award. ("Potential Honoree") from among those eligible nominations submitted during the Nomination Period; however, the Kansas City Royals reserve the right to not award any Program Awards if it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible or qualified nominations at its sole discretion. Subject to verification of eligibility of both Potential Honoree and the nominator who nominated such Potential Honoree, the Potential Honoree will be declared the official honoree of the Program ("Honoree"). Eligible nominees will be evaluated based on the following criteria: how the nominee has consistently shown throughout the 2024 season his/her commitment to the Royals gameday experience through pride, teamwork, guest service, and character.
Nominators may submit nominations online by completing the online form located at www.royals.com/bobstamps during the Nomination Period or filling out a form in-stadium at either Guest Services location (Plaza Level or View Level) during Royals home games played during the Nomination Period. All nominations must include a two hundred (200) word or less essay and a valid email address for the nominator. Nominators must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested on the nomination form for their nominations to be eligible. Incomplete and/or inaccurate nominations are void. Limit one (1) nomination per person/email address/household.
Nomination essays must not exceed two hundred (200) words in length. All information submitted by nominators online is subject to, and will be treated in a manner consistent with, MLB’s Terms of Use accessible at: mlb.com/tou and Privacy Policy accessible at: mlb.com/privacy.
Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Nominators must not include any of the following content in any nomination: (i) pornography, adult-oriented content or any other sexually-explicit material; (ii) materials relating to lotteries or gambling; (iii) explicit or violent language or content or promotion of illegal activities; (iv) content in violation of intellectual property rights or laws; (v) libelous, defamatory, disparaging, tortious or slanderous materials; (vi) content that denigrates, disparages or reflects negatively on the MLB Entities, their owners and employees, the game of baseball or any Service Partner; (vii) content relating to or promoting tobacco, e-cigarettes, alcohol or drugs; (viii) real weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, guns, knives or projectiles; (ix) material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any other basis protected by federal, state, territory, provincial or local law, ordinance, or regulation; (x) individuals under legal age of majority without providing a signed release from parent or legal guardian; and (xi) material that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state/territory where the nomination is created. Any nomination that does not comply with the foregoing, in the sole discretion of the Kansas City Royals, will be disqualified and eliminated from consideration.
Honoree will be notified via email, phone, and/or in-person communication prior to September 16th, 2024. If the Honoree cannot be reached or does not respond within twenty-four (24) hours from time of notification, Royals may, in their sole discretion, select an alternate Honoree. The Honoree will receive four (4) tickets for Honoree and three (3) guests for one (1) Kansas City Royals 2024 regular season home game played September 21 or 22, 2024 (exact date determined by Royals at its sole discretion); the opportunity for Honoree to be recognized on the field on the date of the game; one (1) personalized merchandise or memorabilia item determined by Royals at its sole discretion, and the opportunity to have one (1) personalized plaque related to this honor to be put up in a public area of the stadium (the "Program Award"). Approximate retail value of the Program Award: $550. TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING NOT INCLUDED. The exact nature and duration of the on-field recognition shall be determined by Royals at its sole discretion and subject to availability.
Use of any Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition ticket is subject to the standard terms, conditions, and health and safety policies applicable to the ticket; see mlb.com/ticketback for details. Seat locations at the game/event/exhibition and, unless otherwise stated, exact game/event/exhibition date shall be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Honoree’s guest(s) must be of legal age of majority in his/her(their) jurisdiction(s) of residence unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the BOC and/or the applicable Club and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of the Program Award will govern in the event a legal game/event/exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played or held due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, or any other reason. Honoree and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable ballpark and venue regulations in connection with the Program Award. Sponsor and the other MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the Honoree and/or his/her guest(s) who engage in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person at the game/event/exhibition. Released Parties (as defined below) will not be responsible for weather conditions; acts of God; acts of terrorism; civil disturbances; local, state, or federal regulation, order, or policy; work stoppage; epidemic, pandemic, or any other issue concerning public health or safety; or any other event outside of their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition. Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition tickets awarded may not be resold, offered for resale, or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and Program Award forfeiture and may invalidate the license granted by the game/event/exhibition ticket.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM OR UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROGRAM MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS WILL DISQUALIFY ANY INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT, AND THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS, MLB AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
By participating in the Program and submitting a nomination or granting nominator permission to submit your name as part of a nomination to be entered in the Program for consideration, as applicable, each participant agrees to (a) be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including all entry requirements, and (b) waive any and all claims against the Kansas City Royals, the other MLB Entities, the Service Providers and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Program, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Program or from the receipt or use of any Program Award (or any portion thereof) or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Program Award (or any portion thereof).
The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball ("BOC"), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLB"), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs ("Clubs"), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the foregoing entities.
Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, misdirected, lost, misrouted, scrambled, damaged, delayed, undelivered, mutilated, postage-due or garbled entries, transmissions, email or mail; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, or other connections including those through and/or by any website, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cable or wireless transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; wireless service congestion; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems, wireless towers or cellular tower equipment; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in wireless or other transmission, processing, or communication; non-delivery; misdirected, blocked, or delayed email notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Terms and Conditions, in any Program-related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, telephone, wireless service, mail, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Program, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Program, the processing of nominations, the announcement of the Program Award or in any Program-related materials, or the cancellation or postponement of the on-field recognition or any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Program. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to entrants' or to any other person's computer and/or wireless device related to or resulting from participating in this Program or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Program or website or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Program by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or any representative of Kansas City Royals, the MLB Entities or Service Partners or who are in violation of these Terms and Conditions, as solely determined by Kansas City Royals, will be disqualified and all associated nominations will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Program is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Kansas City Royals, MLB and their respective agents. Kansas City Royals shall have the sole right to disqualify any nominator or nominee for violation of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws relating to the Program, and to resolve all disputes in its sole discretion. Released Parties (a) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Program Award (or any portion thereof), and (b) disclaim any implied warranty. Kansas City Royals' or a MLB Entity's failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
In the event that the Program is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, the Kansas City Royals reserve the right to discontinue or modify the Terms and Conditions, or to disqualify nominations submitted by individuals residing in the affected geographic areas. In such event, the Released Parties shall have no liability to any nominators whose nominations are disqualified due to such an action.
Each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, controversies or causes of action arising out of or relating to this Program, or any Program Awards awarded, shall be (1) arbitrated on an individual basis only, and shall not be consolidated or joined with or in any arbitration or other proceeding involving a Claim of any other party, and (2) settled by binding arbitration in New York County, New York before a single arbitrator appointed by JAMS in accordance with its then governing rules and procedures, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered by any court having jurisdiction thereof; and (B) under no circumstance will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, U.S.A, applicable to contracts entered into and performed exclusively in that State.
