Domínguez (right UCL tear) began a Minor League rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday. He is expected to exclusively DH for the first two weeks. More >

Emmet Sheehan, Bobby Miller, Evan Phillips and Jason Heyward, Dodgers

Sheehan underwent season-ending right elbow surgery on Wednesday. The right-hander experienced elbow inflammation in his first bullpen session in Spring Training, never made it into Cactus League action and began the season on the injured list.

Miller (right shoulder inflammation) is making promising steps toward a return, as the right-hander threw two simulated innings on Wednesday and his velocity was as expected, according to manager Dave Roberts.

Phillips (right hamstring strain) took his biggest step in his recovery so far when he threw off a mound on Wednesday. The session went as expected, and he could have another throwing session off a mound on Saturday.

Heyward had seven plate appearances over two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City this week, and was back in Los Angeles on Thursday as the team assessed his status. The Dodgers could activate Heyward as soon as Friday. More >

Taijuan Walker and Trea Turner, Phillies

Walker departed in the fourth inning of Thursday night's game against the Mets with a left foot contusion after being struck by a line drive. More >

Turner (left hamstring strain) took ground balls and did some light running on the field prior to Wednesday and Thursday's games against the Mets. There is still no firm timetable for his return to the lineup, although the day after he was injured (May 4), Turner said he expected to miss about six weeks. More >

Byron Buxton, Twins

Buxton (right knee inflammation) played seven innings in center field and went 0-for-3 with a groundout and two strikeouts as he began a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday. More >

Triston Casas and Garrett Whitlock, Red Sox

Casas (torn cartilage, left ribcage) is confident he will be activated on June 21, the first day he's eligible to return from the 60-day IL. More >

Whitlock (left oblique strain) went 4 2/3 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, walking one and striking out five on 61 pitches (40 strikes). He will likely be activated and make his return to the starting rotation during next week's four-game series against the Rays at Tropicana Field. More >

Austin Riley and Sean Murphy, Braves

An MRI on Riley's tight left side, which began bothering him during batting practice on Sunday, revealed only inflammation in the area. Riley felt much better when he arrived at the stadium on Tuesday, although he has yet to return to the lineup.

Murphy (left oblique strain) is scheduled to begin a Minor League rehab assignment during the week of May 20. More >

Brandon Nimmo and Brooks Raley, Mets

Nimmo was scratched from the starting lineup on Wednesday due to an illness.

Raley was diagnosed with a strain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left (throwing) elbow. He will rest for two weeks and restart a throwing program after that. If all goes well, he could conceivably return to the bullpen for the Mets this season. Otherwise, he may have to undergo Tommy John surgery. More >

Nico Hoerner, Dansby Swanson and Adbert Alzolay, Cubs

Hoerner was held out of the starting lineup on Thursday, marking his third straight game on the bench due to a left hamstring issue. The infielder went through drills before Thursday's game against the Pirates, and Cubs manager Craig Counsell said the goal was to have Hoerner back in the lineup on Friday.

Swanson (right knee sprain) did some light running and agility work and played catch on Wednesday in Atlanta. He continued to ramp up his activity on Thursday at Wrigley Field, including fielding ground balls.

Alzolay was placed on the 15-day IL on Monday due to what the Cubs have initially described as a right forearm strain. Testing confirmed the diagnosis and revealed no structural damage. More >

Nick Lodolo, Reds

Lodolo was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain on Wednesday. More >

Rhys Hoskins and DL Hall, Brewers

Hoskins was placed on the 10-day IL on Tuesday with a right hamstring strain and is currently expected to miss about two to four weeks.

Brandon Lowe, Jeffrey Springs, Taylor Walls and Chris Devenski, Rays

Lowe (right oblique strain) saw a spine surgeon he has worked with previously after reporting that he was "still feeling a little bit" of discomfort on his rehab assignment. The examination confirmed that Lowe is healing and his progression going forward will depend on his level of pain tolerance.

Springs (Tommy John surgery) was scheduled to throw a two-inning live BP session on Wednesday.

Walls (right hip surgery) has begun a Spring Training-type progression at the Rays' complex in Port Charlotte, which is expected to last about two weeks before he progresses to game action.

Devenski (right knee tendinitis) is throwing pain-free bullpen sessions and is expected to progress to throwing live batting practice soon. More >

Jung Hoo Lee, Jorge Soler, Patrick Bailey and Blake Snell, Giants

Lee was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a dislocated left shoulder. Further testing revealed structural damage, and he was expected to seek a second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Thursday before the Giants determine his next steps. More >

Soler (right shoulder strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. If all goes well, he could return to the Giants' lineup as soon as Friday against the Rockies.

Bailey originally landed on the concussion list after taking a foul ball off his face mask on May 4, though he returned to action after missing the minimum seven days. He passed concussion protocols before being activated on Saturday, but he continued to experience cold-like symptoms in subsequent days, which forced him back on the IL on Tuesday.

Snell (left adductor strain) is scheduled to make his final rehab appearance with Triple-A Sacramento on Friday before potentially returning to the Giants' rotation during next week's road trip. More >

Joe Musgrove, Padres

Musgrove (right elbow inflammation) threw a light bullpen session on Monday and was expected to throw another on Wednesday. Should his recovery continue to progress as expected, he is currently on track to return sometime during the Padres' May 17-20 series in Atlanta. More >

Kris Bryant and Elias Díaz, Rockies

Bryant (low back strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday. As of now, per manager Bud Black, Bryant is expected to be with the Rockies for their weekend series against the Giants in San Francisco.

Díaz left Tuesday's game against the Padres in the third inning due to left hand soreness and was not in the lineup Wednesday. Black said postgame Tuesday that Díaz has dealt with similar issues before but that the team does not expect a long absence. More >

Evan Carter and Dane Dunning, Rangers

Carter will be back in the lineup this week after an MRI on Monday revealed no major damage to his lower back.

Manager Bruce Bochy Bochy said Dunning (right rotator cuff strain) will throw bullpen sessions on Friday and Saturday. If all goes well, Dunning will be ready to return to the starting rotation on the upcoming road trip. More >

Mitch Garver, Jorge Polanco and J.P. Crawford, Mariners

Garver (back spasms) and Polanco (right hamstring tightness) both remained out of the lineup Wednesday.

Crawford, who is on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma after sustaining a right oblique strain in late April, appeared to be hit on the right hand during a plate appearance in the fifth inning of Tacoma's contest against Salt Lake on Wednesday. The latest update was that Crawford appeared to dodge a significant injury, but it's unclear if this will impact his chances of being activated from the injured list this weekend. More >

Chas McCormick and José Urquidy, Astros

McCormick (right hamstring discomfort) played his second consecutive Minor League rehab game Wednesday for Double-A Corpus Christi, going 0-for-4 as the designated hitter. He will continue his rehab on Friday.

Lane Thomas and Josiah Gray, Nationals

Thomas (left MCL sprain) ran the bases before the Nationals' series finale against the White Sox on Wednesday. This followed his progression to hitting in the cage, taking batting practice on the field, throwing and running.

Gray (right elbow/forearm flexor strain) threw a bullpen session Tuesday. He is feeling good and wants to ramp things up in his next bullpen, per Martinez. More >

Gavin Williams, Guardians

Williams (right elbow discomfort) said he didn't feel any lingering effects on Wednesday from his first bullpen session since his anti-inflammatory injection. The righty said he threw 50 pitches and is scheduled to throw his next bullpen on Friday. More >
