Homestand highlights: June 12-20

Royals host another 50th season weekend; great theme tickets still available

The Kansas City Royals will host three teams during the next homestand, including the Cincinnati Reds (June 12-13), Houston Astros (June 15-17) and Texas Rangers (June 18-20). The Royals will host their next 50th Season Weekend (June 16-17). Fans can get plenty of great giveaways, including a special t-shirt (June 12), 50th Season cap (June 16) and BBQ tongs (June 17).
Please note, the game on Saturday, June 16 starts at 1:15 p.m. See below for more details.
 
Tuesday, June 12 -- Cincinnati Reds vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
·  T-Shirt Tuesday -- The first 10,000 fans will get a t-shirt with the famous Danny Duffy quote, "It's a Bear Suit, Joel" (photo attached), courtesy of Sprint. 
 
Wednesday, June 13 -- Cincinnati Reds vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
·  Student Night presented by INK -- Outfield Plaza or View Reserved tickets are available for Wednesday home games for youth and students with a valid ID at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office for just $10. Select tickets are also available online at www.royals.com/studentnight. Seating is subject to availability. A special pregame Happy Hour, a hot dog and 12-ounce beer or 24-ounce soda for just $8, will be available at the Boulevard Hop Stop or Radler Station (located by the Outfield Experience stage) from the time gates open until 15 minutes before first pitch.
·  Local Music Showcase presented by INK -- Catch a free pregame concert on us! Every Wednesday Student Day/Night also features live local music prior to the game in the Outfield Experience. Performing during this showcase will be the act Hembree. More details are available at  www.royals.com/studentnight.

·  K-State Night -- Supporters of Kansas State University can join fellow Wildcats for a night of big-league action presented by FOX Sports Kansas City and Rally House. Purchasers who bring their K-State Day Theme Ticket to Gate A will receive a limited edition purple-and-gray KC cap featuring the Powercat logo (photo attached). Saturday, June 16 -- Houston Astros vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.
·  50th Season Weekend -- During Father's Day weekend celebrations, the Royals will honor the unique and timeless traditions of Royals fans while celebrating those Royals players who shared the special bond of sharing a last name and also a franchise name.
·  50th Logo Baseball Hat -- As a part of the 50th Season celebrations, the first 10,000 fans can get a blue baseball cap depicting the 50th Season logo (photo attached), courtesy of Price Chopper and Pepsi.
·  610 Saturday -- The Royals have again teamed up with Entercom and 610 Sports Radio for 610 Saturdays featuring live pregame broadcasts with 610 Sports Royals Insider Josh Vernier and special guests from the studio at Gate A in Left Field. ·  BBQ Tongs -- In honor of Fathers' Day, the first 10,000 men can get BBQ Tongs (photo attached), courtesy of Price Chopper.
·  The University of Kansas Health Systems Awareness Night -- The Royals and The University of Kansas Health Systems are proud to partner to bring Prostate Cancer Awareness Day to The K. Fans can learn about prostate cancer through interactive displays and distributed information. Honorees associated with the initiative will take part in the first pitch ceremony and the Buck O'Neil Legacy Seat program.
·  Family FunDay Sunday presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors -- Each Sunday home game features free pregame interactives, entertainment for kids, plus face painters and caricature or balloon artists in the Outfield Experience. All Day Play passes for unlimited activities in the Outfield Experience can be purchased for $10. Fans have the opportunity to get pregame autographs from select players by the Royals dugout from 11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Starting at 12:15 p.m., fans can also get autographs from Royals alumni in the Royals Hall of Fame. ·  Tech Night at The K -- Together with the KC Tech Council, the Royals will host Tech Night at The K as we acknowledge the strong tech presence in the community. The first 2,500 fans will get Royals-branded VR glasses, courtesy of the KC Tech Council. Fans can also check out the exclusive VR video from the 2015 World Series parade on the MLB Ballpark App, courtesy of Dimensional Innovations.
