Major League Rehab Coach
Ryan Eigsti is in his 17th season in the Royals organization and third as the Major League Rehab Coach. He previously served on the Major League staff as a bullpen catcher from 2017-21 and was a coach with the Royals Rookie affiliate in Surprise from 2014-16. Prior to that, he played in Kansas City’s minor league system for six seasons, reaching Triple-A Omaha in 2011. Eigsti split the 2012 season between Omaha and Las Vegas, Toronto’s Triple-A affiliate, before retiring as a player.
The catcher was originally selected by the Royals in the 15th round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, after playing three seasons at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
A native of Eureka, Ill., Eigsti resides in Kansas City with his wife, Kelli, and children, Colby, Kylie, Chase and Kinley.
