Gold Glove-caliber defense plays at any level, and while Billy Carlson (CWS No. 5/MLB No. 66) is only 19 years old, he already has the makings of an elite defensive shortstop. The 2025 first-rounder features a 70-grade fielding tool -- the highest mark among Top 100 prospects -- and a 70-grade arm to match. He'll be locking down the six as Single-A Kannapolis takes 2025 sixth-rounder Josiah Hartshorn (CHC No. 7) and Myrtle Beach. A switch-hitting outfielder, Hartshorn was crowned the co-champion of the All-Star High School Home Run Derby at Globe Life Field in 2024 after mashing 23 homers across two rounds.
