Sore right knee keeps Arcia out of lineup

MINNEAPOLIS -- Outfielder Oswaldo Arcia missed his second straight game Tuesday night because of a bruised right knee, sustained when he ran into the wall during batting practice on Monday.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Arcia's knee remains sore, but he is hopeful he'll play again this year, with the last game of the season coming on Sunday against the Indians.

"He took a shot to the knee," Gardenhire said. "He jumped up at the wall while shagging some balls out there. So he has a bruise or a contusion. But he's not moving well. Hopefully, he'll get better. They told me to give him a day or two."

With Arcia out of the lineup, Clete Thomas made his second straight start in left field against the Tigers.
