Getting Started & Verifying Ticketing and Loyalty Accounts

Accessing the MLB Ballpark app

The MLB Ballpark app can be downloaded directly from the App Store on Apple devices or Google Play on Android devices. Accessing content in the MLB Ballpark app requires an MLB or a Club.com account. If you do not have an existing account, you can create a new account during initial app login.

MLB Ballpark Digital Ticketing

The MLB Ballpark app's digital ticketing features allow you to purchase new tickets, present existing tickets at the ballpark for entry, and forward tickets to friends and family, or receive tickets. These features can be found in the “Tickets” tab, "Wallet" section or on the “Home” tab for upcoming games. For additional information on how to set up and use the new MLB Ballpark app digital ticketing features, please refer to the "MLB Ballpark Digital Ticketing" section below.

For any "Wallet," account, tickets, or related support inquiries, please utilize the MLB Ballpark app Digital Assistant for step-by-step assistance.

Club Loyalty Programs

If you are a member of a participating Club's loyalty program, you can access that program by navigating to the Team tab and tapping on your team's Loyalty program module. The location of this module card may differ from Club to Club based on how that Club has configured its Team tab.

If you are signed in with your MLB/Club.com account associated with the Loyalty program, you will be taken to a digital membership card, where you can view your account information, benefits, and stored value (eCash, if applicable). If your accounts are not successfully linked, you will be provided with Club-specific contact information for assistance. For inquiries about Club Loyalty program usage, your account, reward points, or stored value (eCash), please review the specific information for the Club.

New for the 2023 season, fans will now be able to use the MLB Ballpark app to forward any tickets, not just season tickets, after logging into your Ticketmaster account. Tickets will also now display a rotating barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds, which helps ensure that your tickets are secure and cannot be stolen or duplicated. Verifying Accounts and Accessing Tickets

Why verify my email?

Through the MLB Ballpark app, fans can access and manage their tickets, whether purchased or received through a ticket forward, once you have confirmed ownership of the associated email account.

How do I verify my email?

  1. Fans need to login with an MLB account the first time they open the MLB Ballpark app. If you don’t have an existing MLB account, you can create one as part of the initial onboarding process.
  2. Fans who view the “Home” or “Tickets” tabs without a verified account will be prompted to “Please verify your email address or refresh your tickets”.
  3. Fans can then “Send” or “Resend” the verification email to their MLB account OR enter the email address associated with tickets to verify to access those tickets.
  4. An email will be sent to that email address asking you to verify that address by tapping on a one-time link.

How can I remove a verified account?

During the verification process, if you’ve added an incorrect email address OR would like to remove a secondary account that you’ve previously linked, you can do so within the app.

  1. Go to the “Home” tab in the bottom navigation bar, and click on the avatar icon or your initials in the upper left-hand corner to go to your Profile.
  2. Click on My MLB Email Account Emails, where you can see any emails that are linked and whether they are verified.
  3. Fans can tap on “Remove”, which will unlock all verified emails with a minus button next to each.
  4. Tap on the minus icon next to the email address(es) you wish to remove.
  5. This will bring up a “Remove” button at the right of the email address. Tap “Remove” to verify the change.

Important Note: While you can remove secondary email addresses, users cannot remove their primary email address (the one used to login to the MLB Ballpark app).

How do I access my tickets?

Ticket Purchasers
  1. If you purchased your ticket(s), go to the “Tickets” tab and click “Wallet” to view the Event card for the ticket(s) you just purchased. If you don’t see the Event card, tap on “Refresh” or pull down on the screen to refresh.
  2. Event cards will populate provided that the email address associated with those tickets is both a) linked with your MLB account, and b) you have verified your ownership over that email. If you are still not seeing an Event card, go to the “Home” tab in the bottom navigation bar, and click on the avatar icon or your initials in the upper left-hand corner to go to your Profile. Click on My MLB Email Account Emails, where you can see any emails that are linked and whether they are verified. If you need to add another email, click on “Add Another Email” at the bottom of the screen, and follow the steps.
  3. Click on the Event card. [Still not seeing the Event card? Click on the Team tab in the bottom navigation bar and then click “Access Tickets Here”.]
    • NOTE: This will take you into the Ticketmaster portal, from where you can access and manage your tickets.
  4. You will be prompted to log in to your Club account or Ticketmaster account. Please note that this login will persist for 30 days, after which you will be required to login again.
  5. Once logged in, you will see another Event card for this event (if you have more than one ticket, otherwise, it will take you directly to your ticket). Tapping on the Event card will take you to your ticket(s), where you can Add to Apple Wallet, View Barcode, view Ticket Details, or Transfer your ticket(s) to someone else.
  6. If you have more than one ticket, the view will default to your first ticket, and you can scroll left to view additional tickets in the carousel.
  7. If you have a combination of both Single Game Tickets and Season Tickets, you will be able to access both types of tickets within the same login.
  8. However, if you have tickets to more than one Club that uses Ticketmaster as its primary ticketing vendor, you will need to log out of the Club or Ticketmaster account that you are currently logged in to and re-login to the other Club account in order to access those tickets. You will need to repeat these steps each time you need to access tickets across different Ticketmaster Club accounts.
Ticket Forward Recipients
  1. If you received your ticket(s) as the result of a ticket forward from another fan, you need to first accept that ticket by clicking on the “Accept Tickets” button in the email.
  2. Next, go to the “Tickets” tab and click “Wallet” to view the Event card for the ticket(s) you just accepted. If you don’t see the Event card, tap on “Refresh” or pull down on the screen to refresh.
    • NOTE: There may be a delay of up to 5 minutes before Ticketmaster publishes the Event card in the MLB Ballpark app.
  3. Event cards will populate provided that the email address associated with those tickets is both a) linked with your MLB account, and b) you have verified your ownership over that email. If you are still not seeing an Event card, go to the “Home” tab in the bottom navigation bar, click on the avatar icon or your initials in the upper left-hand corner to go to your Profile. Click on My MLB Email Account Emails, where you can see any emails that are linked and whether they are verified. If you need to add another email, click on “Add Another Email” at the bottom of the screen, and follow the steps.
  4. Click on the Event card. [Still not seeing the Event card? Click on the Team tab in the bottom navigation bar and click “Access Tickets Here”.]
    • NOTE: This will take you into the Ticketmaster portal, from where you can access and manage your tickets.
  5. You will be prompted to log in to your Club account or Ticketmaster account. Please note that this login will persist for 30 days, after which you will be required to login again.
  7. If you have more than one ticket, this view will default to your first ticket, and you can scroll left to view additional tickets in the carousel.
  8. If you have a combination of both Single Game Tickets and Season Tickets, you will be able to access both types of tickets within the same login.

Scanning a Ticket at the Ballpark

To access your tickets, please refer to the Verifying Accounts and Accessing Tickets section. Once logged in to your Club or Ticketmaster account, tap on the Event card, from where you can either tap “View Barcode”, which will pull up your rotating barcode for scanning at the entrance gate, or tap “Add to Apple Wallet”, which will allow you to use NFC (near-field communication) to tap and go for entry into the ballpark. If you have more than one ticket, this view will default to the first ticket, and you can scroll left to view additional tickets in the carousel. You will need to either scan or tap each ticket on your device at the gate or else digitally forward additional tickets to others in your party.

Please note that beginning with the 2023 season, Ticketmaster barcodes are powered by SafeTix™, which enables encrypted mobile tickets built with leading-edge technology that comes standard with powerful fraud and counterfeit protection. SafeTix™ provides a unique barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds so it cannot be stolen or copied, keeping your tickets safe and secure. Screenshots will not be accepted for entry.

Transferring and Receiving a Ticket

Transferring a Ticket

Once signed in to your Ticketmaster account within the Tickets tab, when you select a specific event, you will have access to all of your tickets for that event. If you have more than one ticket, this view will default to your first ticket, and you can scroll left to view additional tickets in the carousel. From here, you can click Transfer to select which ticket(s) you would like to forward to someone else via email or SMS, by either selecting from your Contacts or manually entering the recipient’s contact information.

  1. [Select from Contacts] - Your device’s contacts will appear, giving you the ability to select a contact and then the contact’s email address or phone number (if stored in your device).
  2. [Manually Enter a Recipient] - Enter the First Name, Last Name, Email, or Mobile Number and Note to transfer your ticket(s).

This view will also provide updates on the status of forwarded tickets, e.g., when accepted by the recipient. Depending on the ticket type, forwarded tickets can be canceled or recalled.

NOTE: Not all tickets are eligible for forwarding; if not eligible, the option to forward the ticket will not be available, as the “Transfer” button will be inactive and grayed out.

Canceling a Transferred Ticket

You can cancel a ticket forward at any time before the ticket is scanned into the ballpark. To cancel a forward:

  1. Tap on the “Tickets” tab from the bottom navigation bar in the MLB Ballpark app.
  2. Find and tap on the Event card related to the ticket you’ve forwarded.
    • NOTE: This will take you into the Ticketmaster portal, from where you can access and manage your tickets. For details, please refer to How do I find and access my tickets?
  3. Find the ticket that you’ve transferred, and tap “Cancel Transfer”.
  4. When prompted, if you are sure you want to reclaim this ticket, select “Yes.”

Receiving a Transferred Ticket

  1. Fans who receive forwarded tickets can accept the ticket(s) and access it from the MLB Ballpark app.
  2. As a recipient, you will be notified directly by email or receive a link where you can accept the ticket(s) from the sender.
  3. When you click on the “Accept Tickets” button in the email, you will be taken to a webpage, where you will be prompted to log in to your Club or Ticketmaster account.
  4. Both the sender and recipient will be notified by email when the ticket transfer is complete.
  5. To access your newly-accepted tickets, refer to the Ticket Forward Recipients section.
