MILWAUKEE - The 2018 season is fully underway on and off the field. Once again, the Brewers have teamed up with their corporate partners to support numerous nonprofit organizations all season long, including the organization's charitable arm, Brewers Community Foundation.
Alex's Lemonade Stand presented by Northwestern Mutual - During every Brewers' Saturday and Sunday home games, fans can join the fight against childhood cancer and visit Alex's Lemonade Stand at Miller Park, presented by Northwestern Mutual. Northwestern Mutual employees staff this special lemonade stand, located on the Field Level third base concourse. Bottles of Robinade, which is provided courtesy of Brewers' legend Robin Yount and his partners at Robinade Lemonade, are available to purchase with a minimum donation of $3 per bottle. All proceeds benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to help support research to cure childhood cancer. In the first year of the program in 2017, Alex's Lemonade Stand at Miller Park raised over $20,000.
Associated Bank Hits for Homes Campaign - Associated Bank and Brewers Community Foundation are teaming up to donate $150 to Housing Resources, Inc. (HRI) for every Brewers hit at Miller Park this year. HRI is a nonprofit organization that provides support to homeowners and homebuyers in the greater Milwaukee community, helping to stabilize families, facilitate neighborhood improvement as well as build and preserve equity for future generations. All funds from the Hits for Homes campaign go directly toward affordable home repair grants for homeowners in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties. This is the fourth year of this program at Miller Park. In 2017, the Hits for Homes campaign resulted in a $100,000 donation to HRI, compliments of Associated Bank and Brewers Community Foundation.
Associated Bank Stock the Box ToolTM Drive - On Sunday, June 17 as the Brewers take on the Philadelphia Phillies, Associated Bank will host the fourth annual Stock the BoxTM Tool Drive benefitting HRI at Miller Park. Associated Bank and HRI volunteers will be stationed at various locations on the Miller Park plaza collecting tools to be donated to the Housing Resources Tool Loan Center. Fans will receive one free ticket to the Tuesday, July 24 game against the Washington Nationals for each tool donated, with a limit of eight tickets per person.
ORBIS Double Plays - For the fifth consecutive season, ORBIS Corporation is sponsoring the ORBIS Double Play campaign. During the 2018 regular season, ORBIS will donate $150 to Brewers Community Foundation for every double play turned by the Crew at Miller Park. Last year the campaign raised a total of $14,250.
RE/MAX Saves to Save Lives - As the presenting sponsor of Saves to Save Lives, RE/MAX will once again donate $250 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals for every save recorded by the Brewers at Miller Park. The campaign provides funding to improve the lives of children in Wisconsin by helping purchase needed equipment, assisting with costs of uncompensated care, and funding research, training and child life programs. Last season, the Saves to Save Lives campaign raised $6,250.
Sargento Double Helping For Hunger - New in 2018, Sargento has partnered with Hunger Task Force to create the season-long Sargento Double Helping for Hunger campaign. For each double hit by the Brewers at Miller Park, Sargento will donate $200 to the Hunger Task Force. Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee's free and local food bank working to prevent hunger and malnutrition.
U.S. Cellular Little Brewers Program - U.S. Cellular and Brewers Community Foundation will team up for the 11th consecutive year to bring the Little Brewers Baseball Program to the Wisconsin Boys & Girls Clubs. Thanks to a $20,000 donation from U.S. Cellular and Brewers Community Foundation, the Little Brewers program will work with 28 sites across the state to positively impact nearly 1,000 youth baseball players by teaching them the fundamentals of the game.
We Energies Ks for a Cause - We Energies Foundation will donate $25 to the Next Door Foundation for every strikeout recorded by a Brewers pitcher at Miller Park this season. Next Door focuses on improving literacy and school readiness for children ages 0-5 in Milwaukee's central city. This is We Energies Foundation's second year sponsoring Ks for a Cause. Last season, the Brewers racked up 691 strikeouts at Miller Park for a total donation to Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative of $17,275. We Energies is also a member of the Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council.
West Bend Mutual Insurance Home Runs for BCF - With every Brewers home run hit at Miller Park during the 2018 season, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company will donate $100 to Brewers Community Foundation. This will be West Bend's eighth season supporting the program and serving as a member of the Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council. Last season, the program raised $12,000 for BCF.
Brewers Community Foundation - In addition to the many season-long charitable programs, a number of Brewers corporate partners are also significant financial supporters of Brewers Community Foundation as members of the BCF Leadership Council. This list includes Aurora Health Care, Delta Dental, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., MillerCoors, Northwestern Mutual, We Energies and West Bend Mutual Insurance Company.
Brewers Community Foundation harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in Greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Funding efforts extend financial support to nonprofits that provide quality programming in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs, with a particular focus on low-income and disadvantaged youth and their families.
