Brewers’ No. 5 prospect Andrew Fischer launched another home run on Saturday, his 48th of the season, to extend his lead for the most homers in a Minor League season this century. While this one came off a position player in a 19-1 blowout at Blue Wahoos Stadium, there’s no denying the power display Fischer continues to put on.
Fischer will have one more chance to add to his historic homer total on Sunday, the final game of Double-A Biloxi’s regular season. He has an outside shot at reaching 50 homers this year, which hasn’t been done in the Minors since Ron Kittle in 1982.
Fischer was 2-for-5 with a walk on Saturday, scoring three times in Biloxi’s win. He visited the berm in right field during the ninth inning on a pitch the broadcast reported at just 57 mph.

The swing marked Fischer’s 28th homer since his promotion to Double-A and his sixth homer this month, when he’s put up an incredible .353/.558/.882 slash line over 11 games. Fischer, a 2025 first-round Draft pick, leads all full-season Minor Leaguers in OPS (1.071) and slugging percentage (.657), while he ranks second in RBIs (114).
Biloxi’s winning efforts Saturday were also aided heavily by Braylon Payne, Milwaukee’s No. 6 prospect. Payne hit a pair of dingers, his third multi-homer game of the season. The 2024 first-rounder is one of just two 20-year-olds with at least 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases this season, joining Top 100 prospect Eric Hartman of the Braves.
