September 8th, 2018

DETROIT -- hit two home runs in his first two at-bats in Friday night's 5-3 Cardinals loss to the Tigers at Comerica Park. It was his second multi-homer game this week, after hitting two homers against the Nationals on Tuesday.
"I was trying to be aggressive," Ozuna said. "That's been my approach before. That's what I try to do right now."
Ozuna's first blast came in the second inning on a 3-1 pitch from Tigers lefty . After fouling off the 3-0 pitch, Ozuna caught a fastball up in the zone and drove it a projected 406 feet to left field, according to Statcast™.
Ozuna's second home run came on an 0-1 pitch from Norris in the fourth inning, when he got just enough of another fastball to sneak it over the fence in left field to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead.
Since coming off the disabled list on Sept. 1 with right shoulder inflammation, Ozuna is hitting .364. His 20 home runs are considerably lower than the 37 he hit last season with the Marlins, but Ozuna is turning himself into a valuable offensive weapon at a crucial time this season.

"I feel pretty strong," Ozuna said. "I'm giving my team the most I can."
Friday's heroics marked the seventh multi-homer game of Ozuna's six-year Major League career. It was also Ozuna's team-high 41st multi-hit game this season.
