Cubs don't expect many moves for September callups

LOS ANGELES -- The Cubs won't add many players when rosters expand Sunday.

Third baseman Luis Valbuena, who began his rehab assignment Tuesday for a right oblique strain in Mesa, Ariz., will be added after Sept. 1, as well as outfielder Ryan Sweeney, who has been on the disabled list with a fractured left rib.

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said he's talked to general manager Jed Hoyer about who to add. The Cubs' 40-man roster is full, which could impact their decisions.

"We'll just fill what we need," Sveum said. "We won't have any extra things going on."
