Cubs name Harris as baseball operations director
The Cubs named Scott Harris as their new director of baseball operations on Thursday. Harris, 25, joins the club after spending the past two years with Major League Baseball as its coordinator of Major League operations.
Gary Cotton is a reporter for MLB.com.With MLB, Harris provided transaction support, analysis and helped manage different procedural operations in the league office.
Harris, a Redwood, Calif., native, was a former intern for both the Reds in 2010, and the Nationals in '08.
