2023 Postseason FAQ

What is included in my postseason invoice?

Depending on your season ticket plan, your 2023 Major League Baseball postseason invoice may include billing for up to 13 possible home games: five (5) total games between the Wild Card and Division Series, four (4) League Championship Series games and four (4) World Series games, plus a processing fee. City and County amusement taxes are included in the ticket price. Per Major League Baseball, you will be invoiced for all possible postseason home games in your plan.

Can I pay for my tickets offline?

We recommend paying online via your ā€œMy Cubs Ticketsā€ account, if you elect to submit your payment offline, please choose from one of the following two options:

  • Phone Contact your dedicated Season Ticket Service Representative to submit your payment over the phone. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover.
  • Mail a check made payable to the Chicago Cubs and a copy of your invoice to:

Can I use 2023 Ticket Exchange Credit to pay for the 2023 postseason?

No. Any credit from 2023 exchanged tickets can only be applied toward 2023 regular season games or toward your 2024 season ticket renewal deposit.

What happens if any of the games I pay for are not played?

Your 2023 postseason invoice will include all possible home games. When submitting your postseason payment, you must select either a credit which may be applied as a nonrefundable deposit toward your 2024 season ticket balance, if applicable, or a refund for any postseason game(s) not played. Only one selection can be made per season ticket account.

To purchase postseason tickets and credit any funds remaining from postseason game(s) not played toward your 2024 season ticket balance:

  • Log in to ā€œMy Cubs Ticketsā€ and click ā€œRenew/Make Paymentsā€ on the left side, then click the ā€œPayā€ button for 2023 Postseason.
  • Select ā€œPayment in Full ā€“ Creditā€ for any postseason games not played.
    • The credit will serve as your nonrefundable deposit for your 2024 season tickets.
  • By choosing to credit your account, you are electing to renew your 2024 season tickets. The remainder of your payment will be due by 5 p.m. CT Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

The deadline for your 2023 postseason payment is due by 5 p.m. CT Friday, September 15, 2023. If your payment has not been applied by then, you will forfeit your 2023 postseason tickets.

Please note if you select a refund for your 2023 postseason deposit for any games not played, your nonrefundable 20% deposit for your 2024 season tickets will be due by 5 p.m. CT Thursday, October 19, 2023.

In the event you fail to make a selection or we cannot determine your intent, we will provide you with a credit that may be applied toward your 2024 season ticket balance, if applicable.

When will I receive my postseason tickets in the MLB Ballpark app?

We anticipate your postseason tickets will be available near the end of the regular season. Tickets will automatically appear in the MLB Ballpark app when the app is downloaded and linked to your season ticket account.

Will I have the same seating location for the postseason as in the regular season?

Not necessarily. Your postseason seating location is listed on your invoice. While we do our best to offer Season Ticket Holders the same location as the regular season, as stated in the Season Ticket License Terms and Conditions, some seats will be relocated during the postseason due to Major League Baseball considerations. We thoughtfully addressed each change during this process in order to minimize the impact on Season Ticket Holders.

Will Budweiser Bleacher seating remain general admission in the postseason?

No. Seating in the Budweiser Bleachers is assigned during the postseason and numbered sections 501-518 or 536-538. For detailed seating information, please click here.

Will early entry be available for Budweiser Bleacher Season Ticket Holders during the postseason?

No. Early entry will not be available in the Budweiser Bleachers for the 2023 postseason. Budweiser Bleacher Season Ticket Holders should use the main Budweiser Bleacher Gate at the corner of Waveland and Sheffield avenues for entry and exit.

Will my Season Ticket Holder parking for the regular season be available for the postseason?

If you choose to purchase postseason tickets, the Cubs will offer you the opportunity to purchase parking for the postseason equivalent to the number of spots you have during the regular season. Your parking is listed on your postseason invoice.

Will I be able to forward my postseason tickets?

Upon receiving your postseason tickets in the MLB Ballpark app, you may forward your tickets via the MLB Ballpark app or your ā€œMy Cubs Ticketsā€ account.

Will I be able to resell my postseason tickets?

You will be able to resell your tickets on SeatGeek online via ā€œMy Cubs Ticketsā€ at www.cubs.com/mytickets. Please remember if you sell a ticket, your original ticket is no longer valid.

Do not share or post your ticketā€™s unique barcode. To help prevent the unintended or fraudulent resale of your postseason ticket(s), refrain from sharing images that reveal your ticketā€™s unique barcode letters and numbers. Please note, if you do share your barcodes, the Cubs will not be responsible for resulting use by third parties.

Will I be able to renew my season tickets for 2024 if I forgo my opportunity to purchase 2023 postseason tickets?

Yes. Neither purchase nor election to forgo purchase of 2023 postseason tickets will impact your opportunity to purchase 2024 season tickets. Please see our Season Ticket License Terms and Conditions for renewal information.

If you forgo 2023 postseason tickets or select a refund for your 2023 postseason deposit for any games not played, your nonrefundable 20% deposit for your 2024 season tickets will be due by 5 p.m. CT Thursday, October 19, 2023.

What are my payment options for my 2024 season tickets?

What if I do not know my mlb.com account login information?

If you cannot recall the unique password you created (password is case sensitive), please click the "Forgot Password" button within the login section on "My Cubs Tickets." Please note this login information is the same you use to log in to the MLB Ballpark app. If you are still having login issues, please contact your dedicated Season Ticket Service Representative.

What happens if I miss a payment deadline?

The deadline for your 2023 postseason payment is due by 5 p.m. CT Friday, September 15, 2023. If your payment has not been applied by then, you will forfeit your 2023 postseason tickets. If you select credit when submitting payment for your postseason tickets, your payment will be applied as a nonrefundable deposit toward your 2024 season ticket balance. The credit will serve as your nonrefundable deposit for your 2024 season tickets. By choosing to credit your account, you are electing to renew your 2024 season tickets. The remainder of your payment will be due by 5 p.m. CT Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

If you forgo 2023 postseason tickets or select a refund for your 2023 postseason deposit for any games not played, your nonrefundable 20% deposit for your 2024 season tickets or full season ticket balance must be received by 5 p.m. CT Thursday, October 19, 2023.

If we do not receive your nonrefundable first payment or full payment by the October 19 deadline or remaining payments by the deadline agreed upon when submitting your nonrefundable first payment, you will forgo your first payment and the opportunity to purchase 2024 Chicago Cubs season tickets. Additionally, your season ticket inventory will be released from your account and may be made available for purchase by existing Season Ticket Holders participating in the Online Season Ticket Holder Seat Relocation Event and subsequently made available to fans at the top of the Season Ticket Holder Waiting List. The Cubs are not responsible for delayed payments caused by any delivery service. Please be advised payment deadlines will be enforced.

Will I be able to use more than one credit card when submitting payment via "My Cubs Tickets" online?

Only one credit card can be used when paying online. If you need to use more than one card, please contact your Season Ticket Service Representative.

Please note credit card on file may be changed at any time during the renewal process. Changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance of a payment deadline in "My Cubs Tickets" or by contacting your dedicated Season Ticket Service Representative to take effect.

Can I make incremental payments toward my season ticket balance via "My Cubs Tickets" online?

Incremental payments will not be accepted via "My Cubs Tickets." If you would like to apply incremental payments toward your 2024 season ticket balance, please contact your dedicated Season Ticket Service Representative to apply those payments.

Will I be able to add seats to my season ticket account?

Each year, we evaluate our capacity and inventory to ensure we can continue to deliver best-in-class service and exclusive benefits to our existing Season Ticket Holders. In December of 2023, we will assess open season ticket inventory and communicate any seat addition opportunities prior to the Online Season Ticket Holder Seat Relocation Event scheduled for early January of 2024.

Will I be able to upgrade my partial season ticket plan to a full season ticket plan?

Each year, we evaluate our capacity and inventory to ensure we can continue to deliver best-in-class service and exclusive benefits to our existing Season Ticket Holders. In December of 2023, we will assess open season ticket inventory and communicate any potential plan upgrade opportunities prior to the Online Season Ticket Holder Seat Relocation Event scheduled for early January of 2024.

What if I am having trouble using the number of games in my current season ticket plan?

Many Season Ticket Holders allocate and share their games with family, friends, partners and others in their network. Here are some recommendations for maximizing usage of the number of games in your season ticket plan:

  • Share tickets with family, friends, partners and others in your network. You can easily forward tickets via the MLB Ballpark app.
  • Assemble a group of share partners utilizing your personal and professional networks.
  • Post any games you aren't able to attend on SeatGeek via your "My Cubs Tickets" account.

Contact your dedicated Season Ticket Service Representative for information regarding the new 20-Game season ticket plan. Please note a limited number of seats will be available in select sections. Some restrictions apply.

Will season ticket parking be available for purchase for the 2024 season?

If you purchased season ticket parking in 2023, you will have the opportunity to purchase a parking pass for the 2024 season. Lot locations are subject to change. Parking lot assignments for the 2024 season, if applicable, are indicated on your invoice.

Will I be able to relocate my season ticket location for 2024?

In early January 2024, we will provide Season Ticket Holders the opportunity to review season ticket inventory available for location changes. The Online Season Ticket Holder Seat Relocation Event is scheduled to take place in early January 2024. Assigned relocation appointment times are based on account plan and tenure. Your appointment time will be communicated to you via email in December. During that time, you also will receive a comprehensive FAQ pertaining to the relocation event.

What happens if I am able to select a new location during the online season ticket holder seat relocation event that has a different price point than my current location?

If you paid for your season tickets and the new location you select has a higher price point than your current location, we will issue you a follow-up invoice to reflect your new balance.

If you paid for your season tickets and the new location you select has a lower price point than your current location, you can select to receive a credit on your account or receive a refund if your balance has been paid in full at the time of the change. Refunds will be processed using the same method as payment, with the exception of cash payments which will be refunded by check. If you paid your season ticket balance using multiple credit cards, we will issue the credit in the same ratio you used the multiple credit cards to pay for your season ticket balance. Only one selection can be made per season ticket account.

How and when will I receive my 2024 season tickets?

Season tickets will be available exclusively as mobile tickets via the free MLB Ballpark app. We anticipate your mobile tickets will be available beginning in February 2024.

As a reminder, do not share or post your ticket's unique barcode. To help prevent the unintended or fraudulent resale of your season ticket(s), refrain from sharing images that reveal your ticket's unique barcode letters and numbers. Please note, if you do share your barcodes, the Cubs will not be responsible for resulting use by third parties.

Will I be able to use mobile ordering for food and beverage offerings at Wrigley Field?

Wrigley Field will again utilize the mobile ordering option for concessions purchases which can be done through the MLB Ballpark app or online via a scanned QR code.

Is Wrigley Field cashless?

Yes, Wrigley Field is a cashless venue. From parking and retail to concessions and 50/50 raffle tickets, all purchases will be cashless and require a credit card.

Reverse ATMs will be available for fans to convert cash to a credit card that can be used for purchases at Wrigley Field and elsewhere.
