3-9, 5.18 ERA, 73 SO
It's been a difficult season for the Opening Day starter, but his past three outings have brought promise. Chacin allowed four earned runs in 16 innings, and would have pitched deeper into his last start had a pinch-hit chance not cut it short.
RHP
2-3, 6.21 ERA, 32 SO
Clarke, who is 2-3 with a 6.20 ERA this season, has been on the injured list since July 3, and is expected to be activated to make Friday’s start. The 26-year-old right-hander’s last decision was a win over the Dodgers on June 26.

The veteran will come off the injured list to make his first Major League start since May 27, before he went down with shoulder irritation. He threw 68 pitches in his most recent rehab start, so he could be somewhat limited against the D-backs.
