Gate Giveaways vs. Special Event ItemsInterested in gate giveaways and Special Event items listed on our Promotions Calendar? Read below for important information on obtaining these promotions alongside your Advantage Membership.
What are the differences between a gate giveaway item and a Special Event item?
Gate giveaway items are complimentary items given to a set number of fans that enter the ballpark as the gates open the day of the game. Any gate giveaway will have the quantity listed on the D-backs promotions calendar HERE.
Alternatively, a Special Event item is part of a specialty ticket package fans can purchase that includes a ticket to the game + a voucher for a unique item or experience. There is a particular pickup location for these items and they will not be handed out upon entry to the ballpark. Special Events can also be found HERE and will include specific messaging that the item or experience mentioned comes with the purchase of a specialty ticket package with the “Special Event” ticket logo.
I have the game already in my Membership, are gate giveaway items and Special Event items included?
No.
For gate giveaway items, you will need to be one of the first established number of people through the gates to receive the item. The number of items to be distributed at the gates is listed on the promotions calendar HERE and Advantage Members can utilize Early Entry to enter before the general public. Items cannot be held and/or reserved, however all 2026 Advantage Members will receive one (1) of each gate giveaway item (excluding jerseys and shirts) per account in their complimentary 2026 ThanksGIFTing bag at the end of the season. We will have a limited allotment of size XL giveaway jerseys and shirts available in the Member Marketplace that you may purchase using your Advantage Points. Special Event items are not included in ThanksGIFTing bags.
Can I exchange my tickets into a game to obtain a Special Event item?
No, exchanges into Special Event ticket packages are not possible. But, you can exchange your Member ticket for that game for another date and purchase the specialty ticket package for the item you want. Please note, if you exchange your Member ticket and purchase a specialty ticket package for a game, your Special Event game ticket will NOT include your Advantage Member concessions discount. Account credit cannot be applied to purchase a Special Event or item.
As an Advantage Member, can I just purchase the Special Event item and NOT buy the specialty ticket package?
Yes, while supplies last.
We know how much our Advantage Members value these unique items, which is why we purchased a limited allotment of these items for Members only.
New items will be made available to buy through our Advantage Member Special Event link beginning on the first of each month, with a few exceptions. If a Special Event is scheduled for the 1st - 3rd of the month, it will be made available to purchase the month before.
(Ex. If Teacher Appreciation Night is taking place on Tuesday, May 5, you may purchase the D-backs Teacher Jersey beginning on May 1.)
Items are extremely limited in quantities and Members are limited to buying two (2) per account of each Special Event item. Please note that we will only have size XL in jerseys and shirts. While every Member will have the opportunity to purchase these items at the beginning of the month, items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be restocked.
Once we sell out of our allotment, you would need to purchase the specialty ticket package directly to obtain the item. Account credit cannot be applied to purchase a Special Event or item.
While we are able to offer most items separately for purchase, any experience or event such as Yoga on the Field, Bark at the Park, Father’s Day Catch on the Field, concert field passes, etc., will not be available to purchase via the Member Special Event link. To enjoy these experiences, you must purchase the specialty ticket package at dbacks.com/specials.
Do Advantage Members get discounts when purchasing specialty ticket packages?
No, there are no discounts when purchasing specialty ticket packages. There are typically a few different price points to choose from when purchasing this package via dbacks.com/specials.
How do I pick up my items?
Once you’ve successfully purchased items through the Advantage Member Special Event link, you may pick up your items beginning on the day the Special Event is taking place, or up to 30 days after.
If you plan to pick up your item on the same day as the Special Event, we will have an alternate table set up close to Member HQ for your convenience. After that day, you may pick up your item on the Member Marketplace side of Member HQ, located behind section 111.
We will hold items at Member HQ for 30 days past the Special Event date, but after that 30-day window, you will need to coordinate pickup with your Membership Experience Representative as items will no longer be stored at Member HQ. All items need to be picked up before the conclusion of the season.

If you purchased the Special Event item via a specialty ticket package, you will receive an email a few days before the game with instructions on how to pick up your item. Items purchased from a specialty ticket package can only be redeemed the day of the game and will not be mailed or available for pick up at a later date.
