Sports Pathways Program

The Miami Marlins Sports Pathways Program partners with local colleges and universities to participate in a work study program for nine months beginning in January 2024. The program provides hands-on experience working in a business environment. Students take on projects and developing career skills with the Miami Marlins Front Office. Our goal is to enhance a studentā€™s classroom training by allowing them to apply their skills to a professional work environment. Students who are undergraduate or graduate students during the program term are eligible to apply. You must remain an active student during the program. Applications will be open through December 1.

Eligibility

An applicant will only be considered if he/she meets all criteria below:

  • Enrolled full time in an accredited university or college
  • Can meet the program time commitments: February 1st through October 31st
    • During the Spring/Fall Semesters: work not to exceed 30 hours per week
    • During Summer Break: 40 hours per week
  • Attend Monthly Lunch & Learn with department leaders
  • Participate in a Volunteer Day with the Miami Marlins Foundations
Brief Overview

The Human Resources intern will be responsible for all administrative issues of the department as well as assisting with employee needs, requirements, and events.

The Information Technology Intern will be responsible for providing 1st level Help Desk support for Marlins personnel primarily at loanDepot park in Miami, FL, at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, FL. and at our Baseball Academy in the Dominican Republic. This position is meant to inspire and promote learning essential skills for ground level work in the field of technology. This position will include supporting a set number of games and events in which they will support as an IT representative at loanDepot park in Miami.

The Partnerships intern is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Partnerships Department and the teamā€™s marketing partners in all areas as needed.

The Event Operations Intern plays an integral role in planning, preparing, and ensuring that the details of the operation are successfully executed on game days and special events. This position will partake in all aspects and functions of a sports venue.

The CRM & Analytics Intern will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Tickets Sales Analyst and the Marlins Sales and Service Department.

The Communications Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department, as directed.

The Group Sales and Service Intern is responsible for providing support and assistance to the entire Ticket Sales and Service Team.

The Promotions Intern is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Experience & Promotions Department, as needed.

Seeking an individual passionate about photography and dedicated to learning the responsibilities of a Team Photographer. This position will work closely with the Team Photographer assisting them with all their duties. Theyā€™ll get hand-on experience with sport photography, event coverage, marketing, and studio photography. Weā€™re looking for a hard-working individual to work gamedays and non-gamedays, with a drive to learn more about all facets of photography.

Miami Marlins Social Media Intern will be responsible for creating outstanding, first-class content pieces to be posted on club social media accounts. This individual will work in a collaborative environment with the social media and creative team to help expand the Marlins brand across social media.
