The Phillies have traded outfielder Jake Cave to the Colorado Rockies in exchange for cash considerations.

President of Baseball Operations David Dombrowski made the announcement.

In 38 plate appearances this spring for the Phillies, Cave slashed .324/.342/.405 with a .747 OPS.

In 400 career major league games, Cave has slashed .231/.293/.401 with a .694 OPS over parts of six seasons with the Minnesota Twins (2018-22) and Phillies (2023). Claimed off waivers by the Phillies from the Baltimore Orioles on Dec. 2, 2022, Cave was originally selected by the New York Yankees in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB Draft.
