Began the season with Double-A Tennessee, coming out of the pen for a 3-1 record in eight appearances for a 2.08 ERA (3 ER/13.0 IP)…struck out 18 batters and held hitters to a .222 average...Promoted a month later on May 10 to Triple-A Iowa, where he posted a 1-2 record over 31 relief outings...struck out 58 players, walked 22, and posted a 4.11 ERA (21 ER/46.0 IP)...Earned two wins at home with Double-A Tennessee (April 8 and April 12), striking out eight batters and issuing just one walk in 4.1 innings of work...Struck out four batters five different times: April 8, April 12, May 25, July 16 and Sept. 22, recording a 2-0 record in those five outings…produced a strikeout in 35 of his 39 outings...Fired one inning in 34 of 39 appearances, pitching 2.2 innings twice: April 15 and Sept. 22.
