Split the season between AA Akron and AAA Columbus, batting a combined .263 (109-for-415) with 26 2B, four 3B, 21 HR, 68 RBI, 73 runs and 20 steals in 118 games (.392/.496/.888)…He was the only catcher in MiLB in 2022 with a 20/20 season, leading the system w/a .888 OPS, second in walks (82), slugging pct (.496) and OBP (.392) and fifth in HR (21)… The only two 20HR/20SB catchers in MLB history are Pudge Rodriguez (TX, 1999) & J.T. Realmuto (2022, PHI)…Started the year at AA Akron and was promoted to Columbus on June 21…Named to the Int’l League Postseason All-Star team…From 6/21-end of season he was T7th in the Int’l League in HR (15), ninth in OPS (.880) and eighth in RBI (47)… Had four straight multi-hit games from 5/17-5/21...Joined his brother Josh on the active roster on Oct. 1, becoming the first set of brothers on the same Cleveland roster since the Alomars in 2000… On Oct. 2 vs. KC made first ML start at DH, batting fifth behind his brother, Josh, becoming the first set of brothers to hit consecutively for Cleveland since Joe (7th) and Luke (8th) Sewell on 8/27/1930 vs. CWS (G2)… Last done in the Majors by the Romine’s (Andrew/Austin) for the Cubs on 8/25/2021…First set of brothers to play in same game for Cleveland since the Alomar’s in Oct. 2000...With Cleveland appeared in four games at catcher, made the one start at DH and was on both Postseason rosters, but did not appear.

Spent entire season at AA Akron, batting a career-low .188 (59-for-313) with 24 extra-base hits and 44 RBI in 87 games...At 21, was playing nearly 3.0 years below the Double-A Northeast average of 23.9 YOA...Was successful on all 10 of his stolen base attempts... Caught the last four innings for the A.L. team in the July 11 SiriusXM Futures Game in Denver...Enters 2022 the 7th-best prospect in the system and best defensive catcher (Baseball America)... Spent the 2019 season at Single-A Lake County, batting .243 with 18 2B, 10 3B, 11 HR and 65 RBI in 107 games...Led the Midwest League in triples and was fifth in RBI, tied for sixth in extra-base hits and eighth in slugging pct...Named the No.3 prospect in Cleveland system by Baseball America and the No. 5 prospect by MLB Pipeline entering the 2019 season...Got better as the season wore on, hitting .251 with 39 RBI and a .764 OPS in the second half (57 G)...Batted .294 (55-for-187) with runners on base.
