Dustin Jake May...starred at Northwest High School (Justin, TX), going 5-1 with a 1.50 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 56 innings his senior year and committed to play baseball at Texas Tech before signing with the Dodgers…drafted in the 3rd round (101 overall) of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Northwest High School.

2020

Spent the entire season with the Dodgers, going 3-1 in 12 games (10 starts) and ranking among the NL leaders (min. 50.0 IP) in ERA (2.57, 8th), opponents’ batting average (.220, T-13th) and WHIP (1.09, T-12th).…ranked second among rookies in ERA (min. 40.0 IP)... Averaged 99.1 MPH on his four-seam fastball, the fastest among MLB pitchers (min. 250 pitches)...Was the Dodgers’ Opening Day starter vs. San Francisco after an injury sidelined Clay ton Kershaw, becoming the first rookie to start L A’s season-opener since Fernando Valenzuela in 1981…allowed one run on seven hits and struck out four in 4.1 innings and did not factor in the decision in the Dodgers’ 8-1 win...Appeared in seven games (three starts) during the Dodgers’ run to a World Championship, going 1-0 with a 4.22 ERA (5 ER/10.2 IP)…picked up the win in Game 1 of the NLDS vs. San Diego, striking out three in 2.0 hitless, scoreless innings of relief.

2019

In his first season with Los Angeles, he went 2-3 with a 3.63 ERA (14 ER/34.2 IP) in 14 games (four starts), posting a 1.10 WHIP and striking out 32 batters ... As a starter, he posted a 1-2 record with a 2.82 ERA (7 ER/22.1 IP), striking out 17 batters against only three walks while registering a 1.07 WHIP ... Made 10 relief appearances, posting a 1-1 record with a 5.11 ERA (7 ER/12.1 IP) and 15 strikeouts ... Recorded a 10.0 inning scoreless inning streak from September 7-29, striking out 14 batters during that time ... Limited right-handed batters to a .188 average, compared to a .346 mark against lefties ... Made two relief appearances for the Dodgers against the Nationals during the NLDS, allowing one earned run in 3.1 innings while recording a strikeout...in the minors, split the season between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going a combined 6-5 with a 3.38 ERA (40 ER/106.2 IP) and 110 strikeouts...honored as a Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star with Double-A Tulsa and was also selected to the U.S. team for the 2019 Futures Game...earned Pitcher of the Week honors with Double-A Tulsa for the period ending on June 23 and then again on July 28 with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

May compiled his best season as a professional, going 9-5 with a 3.39 ERA with 122 strikeouts in 132.2 innings across Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Tulsa ... Began the season with Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga, going 7-3 with a 3.29 ERA with 94 strikeouts in 98.1 innings ... Set career-highs in ERA, WHIP (1.108) and batting average against (.241) ... Named California League Pitcher of the Week on May 27 after going 1-0 without allowing a run in five scoreless frames in the week of May 20th through the 27th...promoted to Double-A Tulsa on July 31 and finished the season with the Drillers...went 2-2 with a 3.67 ERA in six starts with Double-A Tulsa…dominated away from home, going 2-0 with a 1.77 ERA in three starts…limited hitters to a .130 batting average and 0.74 WHIP away from home.

2017

Combined to go 9-6 with a 3.63 ERA (54 ER/134.0 IP) in 25 games (24 starts) with Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga and Single-A Great Lakes ... struck out 128 batters against 27 walks...was selected as a Mid-Season All-Star as a member of the Loons.

2016

In his first professional season, he went 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA (13 ER/30.1 IP) in 10 games (six starts) with Rookie-level AZL Dodgers.
