In 2015, spent four days at the Rays Dominican academy getting a 1st-hand look at the organization's Latin American operations...Selected out of the University of Michigan, where he played first and second base as a position player. Finished his career with a 3.34 ERA (45 ER, 121.1 IP) and 23 saves in 55 apps (12 starts) on the mound...Attended St. Clair High School (MI) where he played baseball and starred on the hockey team.
 

2019

Claimed team MVP honors with Durham (AAA), hitting .334 (115-for-344) with 26 2B, 4 3B, 10 HR and 45 RBI… between DUR and GCL Rays (R), set career highs in AVG (.329), 2B (27), OBP (.422), SLG (.511) and OPS (.934)...In 88 games with DUR, led the INT in AVG and OBP (.429) and ranked 3rd with a .949 OPS...He was used as a 2-way player for the 1st time since playing collegiate ball at the University of Michigan…made 7 appearances on the mound, including 6 as an opener, and he yielded only 2 runs (both unearned) in 7.1 IP...Was named TB's Minor League Player of the Month for April, batting .370 (30-for-81) with 1 HR and 11 RBI...Earned INT Mid and Post-Season All-Star honors…slashed .342/.427/.546 in the 1st half of the season with 22 2B, 4 3B, 10 HR, 42 RBI, 39 BB and 61 runs scored in 75 games… hit .346 (9-for-26) with 5 RBI in 6 Triple-A postseason games...Following the season, ranted by Baseball America as the Best Batting Prospect, Best Infield Arm, Best Defensive Shortstop and Most Exciting Player in the IL in its Best Tools survey. 

2018

Spent most of the season with Montgomery (AA), hitting .254 (106-for-418) in 108 games…promoted to DUR in April, hitting .240 (6-for-25) in 7 games...Combined for a career-high 22 SB between MTG and DUR...His 75 runs scored were T-4th in the Southern League, and he struck out once every 6.81 PA, the 3rd-lowest ratio in the SOU.

2017

Split the season between Class-A Charlotte and Double-A Montgomery, batting .274/.364/.358 (133-for-486) between the two levels…his 133 hits and 22 2B were both career highs, while his 13 SB and 66 BB were one shy of matching his 2016 career highs…began the season on a 22-game hitting streak, which was the longest in the Florida State League in 2017 and tied for the 4th-longest single-season streak in the organization's history…hit .389/.486/.522 (35-for-90) over that span, from April 6-May 1…was a 25-game hitting streak, dating back to the end of the 2016 season…named to the Florida State League midseason All-Star Team, his third consecutive year receiving midseason All-Star honors…ranked 5th in the FSL with a .364 OBP and tied for the Stone Crabs lead with 47 BB despite a July 18 promotion to Montgomery…ranked by Baseball America as the No. 22 prospect in the Rays system following the season.
