Run, jog or walk anytime, anywhere, from September 1-30, 2020.

Proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization and the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies. The Rays Baseball Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need within our community, focusing primarily on education, youth development, wellness and social responsibility.

Running with the Rays 5K Registration Fee:

About the Run

Submit your time from your Running with the Rays 5K Virtual Race.

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Reference your registration confirmation email.
  2. Using the link below, claim your result using your confirmation number and last name.
  3. Once claimed, you will be prompted to enter your result.
  4. Your results are automatically posted on the Running with the Rays 5K Results Platform, complete with your custom finisher certificate.
  5. Share your race photos on social media, using #Rays5K

Race Results

Participation is easy! Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Register yourself and your family. The entry fee is $30 for standard registration or $50 for a premium registration.
  2. Choose your route.
  3. Run or walk your 5K race (3.1 miles) anytime between September 1-30, 2020. You choose the date and time.
  4. Optional - Upload your time to the Virtual Results race page, to be featured on the Running with the Rays results platform (instructions below).
  5. Be sure to share your 5K photos on social media, using #Rays5K.
  6. All registrants will receive a commemorative Running with the Rays finisher’s medal, race bib and a downloadable finisher’s certificate. Race packets will be mailed within 7-10 days of registering. Premium registrants will also receive a ticket voucher, valid for two (2) Lower Reserved tickets to a 2021 regular season home game. Participants will receive an email in March 2021 with information on how to redeem ticket vouchers. Some exclusions apply.

Race Packets

All registrants will receive a commemorative Running with the Rays finisher medal and race bib.

Race packets will be mailed within 7-10 days of registering. International shipping is available to select countries, subject to additional shipping charges.

Finisher’s certificates will be available to download through the Running with the Rays 5K Results Platform.

Fans who select the premium registration option will receive an email in March 2021 with information on how to redeem the included Rays ticket vouchers. Vouchers will be valid for Lower Reserved tickets to a 2021 regular season home game, subject to availability. Some exclusions apply.

What is a Virtual Run/Walk Event?
  • A virtual run/walk event is an event that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog or walk on the road, a trail, treadmill, at the gym, or on a track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.
How does a Virtual Run/Walk Event actually work?
  • Participants register on-line, choose your starting line, run/walk your chosen route, and upload your time on the race results page (optional)!
Does the event take place on a specific date?
  • No, you have the freedom to complete the Running with the Rays 5K anytime, between September 1-30, 2020! The last date to submit your time is September 30, at 11:59 pm EST.
I have family and friends who live out of town, can they participate in the Running with the Rays 5K?
  • Absolutely! Simply have them register, choose a 5K (3.1 miles) course where they live, run/walk, and upload their time! The Running with the Rays 5K can be a fun competition with neighbors, family and friends, even those living elsewhere. Be sure to have everyone share their race photos using #Rays5K.
How can I register?
  • Registration is full and no longer available.
What is the cost of the race?
  • The standard entry fee for the virtual race is $30. This includes a commemorative finisher’s medal, race bib and downloadable finisher’s certificate.
  • A premium entry fee is $50, and includes a commemorative finisher’s medal, race bib and a downloadable finisher’s certificate, plus a Rays ticket voucher valid for two (2) Lower Reserved tickets to a 2021 regular season home game.
Can I get a refund or transfer my registration?
  • There are no refunds for this race, as the proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation.
