What is an NFT?

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital collectible in which ownership is unique and verified through data stored on blockchain technology.

What is the ‘Opening Day Commemorative Ticket’ and what can I do with it?

This digital collectible is created in partnership with Candy Digital, MLB’s official NFT partner. On Thursday, March 30 all game attendees can claim a FREE Rays, ‘Opening Day’ piece of digital artwork. This special digital collectible can be added to your personal NFT collection, kept for future utility, or sold on the Candy Digital secondary marketplace.

How do I claim this NFT?

All fans who scan their ticket through the MLB Ballpark App on Thursday, March 30 will receive an email from RaysBaseball.com on Saturday, April 1 with information on how to create a Candy Digital account to receive this digital collectible. The opportunity for fans to claim their unique ticket will be open until Saturday, April 15, 2023.

How many NFTs can an account claim?

All fans who attended the game on Thursday, March 30 will be eligible to receive one NFT per ticket scanned from their MLB Ballpark App. For example, if a fan purchased four tickets through their account and scanned all four at the gate, they will be eligible to receive four Opening Day, digital collectibles. Each ticket is custom made to the location of your seat for this game.

Why is this special?

This is the first time the Rays will be offering Opening Day digital collectibles. This exclusive digital collectible will never be recreated or sold to the public after this date.
