VICE PRESIDENT, EMPLOYEE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Bill Wiener Jr. was named vice president of employee and community development in January 2015. He joined the Rays organization in 1996 as a member of the administration department, and throughout his tenure with the Rays has gained experience in many facets of the business. Wiener presently oversees employee and community development, including business services, purchasing, risk management, worker’s compensation and human resources. Prior to joining the Rays, Wiener worked for the law firm retained by the Tampa Bay ownership group to acquire a Major League Baseball franchise. Wiener earned his bachelor’s degree in pre-law and criminal studies from the University of South Florida. He and his wife, Elena, reside in Clearwater with their daughters, Kaitlyn and Brenna.
