VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT
Bill Walsh was named vice president of strategy and development in January 2015. Since joining the Rays in 2007, Bill has led a number of business development efforts for the club, including capital projects management, digital and mobile strategy, market analysis, technology investment and business analytics. Prior to his work with the Rays, Bill served as vice president of real estate development for the New York City Economic Development Corporation during the Bloomberg administration, where he worked with developers and community groups on public-private partnership projects totaling over $1 billion in private investment. Bill earned a master’s degree from Columbia University in 2003, where he studied urban planning and development. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 2001 and remains an avid fan of Huskies basketball. Bill serves on the Board of Governors of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the ULI Tampa Bay Leaders Council, and was named Big Brother of the Year in 2012 through his volunteer activities with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County. He and his wife, Audra, live in St. Petersburg with their three children: Teddy, Clara and Jacqueline.
