Jacob Wilson, Athletics
Wilson was placed on the 10-day IL on May 12 with a left shoulder subluxation which he sustained while diving for a ground ball on May 10.
Willson Contreras, Ranger Suarez, Roman Anthony and Garrett Crochet, Red Sox
Contreras (right hand contusion) participated in baseball activities on May 12 but was out of the starting lineup for the series opener against the Phillies.
Suarez exited his start on May 3 due to right hamstring tightness. The current plan is for Suarez to remain off the injured list and to make his next start sometime during the Red Sox's May 12-14 series against the Phillies.
Anthony (right wrist sprain) remains in a brace as of May 12 and is yet to resume baseball activities, though manager Chad Tracy said he Anthony is making "small, incremental improvements."
Crochet (left shoulder inflammation) threw at 120 feet on May 10 and also played catch off the mound.
Chandler Simpson, Rays
Simpson left the game on May 11 in the bottom of the eighth inning due to left leg cramping. Manager Kevin Cash said that initial tests were encouraging, though Simpson was out of the lineup on May 12.
Gerrit Cole, Giancarlo Stanton, José Caballero, Jasson Domínguez and Luis Gil, Yankees
Cole (Tommy John surgery recovery) made fifth Minor League rehab start on May 10 for Double-A Somerset, striking out eight over five innings. He likely still needs a few more outings until he'll return to the rotation.
Stanton (right calf strain) underwent testing May 11 to gauge healing, according to Aaron Boone, who suggested Stanton could “start ramping up running this week based on that.”
Caballero was placed on the 10-day IL on May 12 with a fractured right middle finger.
Domínguez suffered a low-grade AC joint sprain in his left shoulder after crashing into the left-field fence on May 7 against the Rangers. He has been placed in concussion protocol but is not showing concussion symptoms, per Boone.
Gil was placed on the injured list on May 8 with right shoulder inflammation while pitching for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He will not throw for at least three weeks.
Francisco Lindor, Luis Robert Jr., Kodai Senga, Jorge Polanco and A.J. Minter, Mets
Lindor (left calf strain) is set to undergo an MRI the week of May 11 to determine the next steps in his recovery.
Robert Jr. (lumbar spine disc herniation) is still experiencing symptoms as of May 12. His timeline will remain fluid until symptoms subside.
Senga (lumbar spine inflammation) restarted his throwing program on May 6 and was scheduled for a bullpen session on May 10.
Polanco (left Achilles bursitis, right wrist contusion) has seen improvement in his wrist but is still bothered by the Achilles injury.
Minter (left lat surgery, left hip discomfort) threw a second bullpen session on May 12. He expects to return to game action the weekend of May 16, but is still a few weeks away from a return to the Majors.
Logan Webb and Erik Miller, Giants
Webb (right knee bursitis) is scheduled to resume throwing on May 13.
Miller (low back strain) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A San Jose on May 13.
Nathan Eovaldi, Rangers
Eovaldi was scratched from his May 11 start vs. the D-backs with left side tightness.
Addison Barger, Max Scherzer and José Berríos, Blue Jays
Barger was scratched from the Blue Jays' May 10 lineup with right elbow soreness. He was placed on the injured list with elbow inflammation on May 11.
Scherzer (right forearm tendinitis and left ankle inflammation) received cortisone injections to his forearm on May 7 and his right thumb on May 11 to reduce soreness in both areas.
Bieber (right elbow inflammation) is scheduled to throw another live BP on May 12.
Berríos (right elbow stress fracture) will have an in-person evaluation with Dr. Keith Meister on May 12 after an MRI showed "small changes" to his initial injury.
Samuel Basallo, Cade Povich and Heston Kjerstad, Orioles
Basallo was back in the starting lineup on May 12 a day after being a late scratch due to left knee discomfort.
Povich was placed on the 15-day IL on May 8 with left elbow inflammation. The severity of the issue is currently unclear. He could receive a cortisone shot, although other treatment options remain on the table.
Kjerstad (right hamstring strain) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake on May 9.
Kerry Carpenter, Tarik Skubal, Justin Verlander and Casey Mize, Tigers
Carpenter was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 10 with a left shoulder sprain, sustained in a collision with the outfield wall on May 9.
Skubal underwent arthroscopic surgery on May 6 to remove a loose body from his left elbow. He will head to the Tigers’ Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Fla., but he won’t be able to resume throwing until the surgical incisions heal. “All reports are positive and optimistic," manager A.J. Hinch said.
Verlander (left hip inflammation) threw his full arsenal across 38 pitches in a two-inning simulated game on May 9. He called it a "step in the right direction."
Mize (mild right adductor strain) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on May 13 and could return to the Majors without going on a rehab assignment.
Rhett Lowder and Eugenio Suárez, Reds
Lowder left his start against the Cubs on May 7 in the fourth inning with right shoulder discomfort. An MRI came back clean, and he received an injection to treat inflammation in his AC joint. The Reds expect to place him on the 15-day IL as a precaution.
Suárez (left oblique strain) is taking grounders and throwing, while also working on core exercises before he returns to swinging the bat. He last took 50 swings on May 7.
Carlos Correa, Jeremy Peña and Josh Hader, Astros
Correa underwent successful season-ending left ankle surgery on May 11.
Peña (Grade 1 right hamstring strain) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Corpus Christi on May 12.
Hader (left biceps tendinitis) pitched a scoreless inning in his second rehab appearance for Triple-A Sugar Land on May 9.
Sean Murphy, Ha-Seong Kim, Eli White, Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves
Murphy (fractured left middle finger) was placed on the 10-day IL on May 12. He suffered the injury on a catcher's interference call on May 10.
Kim (finger surgery) was reinstated from the injured list on May 11 and is slated to make his season debut on May 12 against the Cubs.
White was placed on the 7-day concussion IL on May 11 a day after making a game-saving catch at Dodger Stadium.
Acuña (Grade 1 left hamstring strain) did agility drills in the outfield before the Braves' May 8 game at Dodger Stadium. He might not be ready to be activated when eligible on May 13, but he could rejoin the lineup when the club's next road trip begins on May 18.
Brock Stewart and Tyler Glasnow, Dodgers
Stewart was placed on the 15-day IL on May 9 with a left bone spur, aggravated while covering first base on May 8. He will be out at least three weeks.
Glasnow was placed on the injured list on May 8 with low back spasms.
Jared Jones and Joey Bart, Pirates
Jones (internal brace surgery) threw four scoreless innings in a rehab start for Double-A Altoona on May 12.
Bart was placed on the 10-day IL on May 12 with a left foot infection.
Cole Ragans and Carlos Estévez, Royals
Ragans is dealing with valgus extension overload (VEO) in his left elbow, a condition commonly called pitcher’s elbow. He played catch on May 10 and May 12, and expects to do so again on May 13.
Estévez has a right rotator cuff strain and will be shut down for the next three weeks, the Royals announced May 7. He was returned from his rehab assignment on May 8, remaining on the 15-day IL.
Brandon Woodruff, Quinn Priester and Brandon Lockridge, Brewers
Woodruff (right shoulder inflammation) rejoined the team on May 8 and was scheduled to resume throwing on May 9.
Priester (right neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome), who was returned from his rehab assignment on May 4 after three poor outings, expects to face hitters in a simulated game on May 11.
Lockridge suffered a deep laceration down to the bone after injuring his right knee sliding into a wall while chasing a foul ball. X-rays were negative, though Lockridge will undergo additional testing on May 11.
Chase Dollander, Rockies
Before his scheduled bullpen on May 12, Dollander said that his ankle is fully healed and should have no bearing on his May 14 start.
Caleb Thielbar, Jordan Wicks and Hunter Harvey, Cubs
Thielbar (left hamstring strain) followed a May 8 bullpen session with a light mound workout on May 10. From there, he is scheduled to face hitters on May 13 before potentially beginning a rehab assignment.
Wicks (left forearm radial nerve irritation) made his fifth rehab appearance on May 9, throwing 81 pitches over four innings.
Harvey (right triceps inflammation) had a setback after a May 7 bullpen session, per manager Craig Counsell. Dealing with a stress reaction, he has been shut down for a month and has moved his rehab to Arizona.
Bryce Miller, Mariners
Miller (left side oblique inflammation) will make his season debut on May 13 in Houston, manager Dan Wilson announced on May 9.
Owen Caissie and Pete Fairbanks, Marlins
Caissie was scratched from the Marlins' May 10 lineup with left triceps soreness. The Marlins expect to have him back in the lineup during their May 12-14 series in Minnesota.
Fairbanks (nerve irritation) threw a live batting practice session on May 10 and will be reinstated as soon as he is eligible on May 13.
Kyle Teel and Andrew Benintendi, White Sox
Teel (right hamstring strain) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on May 12.
Benintendi was a late scratch from the White Sox's May 9 lineup due to neck soreness. He remained out of the lineup through May 10.
Taj Bradley, Twins
Bradley (right pec strain) began throwing from 90 feet on May 12
Travis d'Arnaud, Grayson Rodriguez and Logan O'Hoppe, Angels
d'Arnaud was placed on the 10-day IL on May 8, retroactive to May 7, with right foot plantar fasciitis. He will be evaluated further.
Rodriguez (right shoulder inflammation) could make his next appearance with the Angels after striking out 11 hitters in 4 2/3 innings with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on May 10.
O'Hoppe (left wrist fracture) has his rehab assignment shifted to Triple-A Salt Lake City on May 12.
