The Red Sox and Brewers on Monday finalized a trade that sends three infielders, including 2025 NL Rookie of the Year finalist , and a Draft pick to Boston in exchange for left-hander and two other players.

In addition to Durbin, Boston is receiving Andruw Monasterio, Anthony Seigler and a Competitive Balance Round B Draft pick. The 25-year-old Durbin slashed .256/.334/.387 while splitting time at third base (primary), second base and shortstop. He joins a crowded Boston infield mix that includes Trevor Story, Willson Contreras, Marcelo Mayer, Romy Gonzalez and Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

Monasterio, 28, hit .270 with four homers and a .755 OPS in 68 games for the Brewers last year, making 21 starts at shortstop, eight at second base and five at third base, in addition to appearances at first base and left field. Seigler, 26, was the 23rd overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft by the Yankees and made his MLB debut on July 2, going on to hit .194 with a .501 OPS in 34 games.

Beyond Harrison, Milwaukee receives lefty pitching prospect Shane Drohan and infielder David Hamilton. Drohan, 27, ranked as Boston's No. 30 prospect last season, per MLB Pipeline.

Harrison, 24, was a key piece in Boston's return when it traded Rafael Devers to the Giants last season. The southpaw has a 4.39 ERA across 42 outings (37 starts) since debuting in the Majors in 2023.
