Sebastian Walcott is a different level of locked in right now.
MLB's No. 9 prospect extended his home run streak with his fourth roundtripper in as many games in Double-A Frisco’s 12-9 win over Amarillo on Wednesday night at Riders Field.
Walcott didn't waste any time getting the job done either, lofting the second pitch of the night he saw from righty Mason Marriott (AZ No. 26) over the center-field fence.
“Throughout the whole rehab process, I was just itching to get back onto the field no matter what I was doing, playing defense or just hitting,” he said. “To be able to produce something like this is honestly fun. ... Putting my best foot forward, that's the main thing.”
The 20-year-old has served as Frisco’s designated hitter since his return to Double-A action on July 17 following preseason elbow surgery. While displays of Walcott's 70-grade arm strength will have to wait, his 65-grade power has been on full display.
“You've got a lot of confidence stepping up to the plate," the Rangers' top prospect said of his current mindset. "Also trusting in the ability in who you are. You know the game plan, and once you stick to that game plan, a lot of things feel good.”
On a 2-for-4 night, Walcott ran his hitting streak to eight consecutive games. He's delivered four multihit outings in a row during a 14-for-31 stretch at the dish with three doubles, 18 runs, six RBIs, nine walks and 29 total bases.
“It's been pretty good,” he said. “Just trying to ride this wave for as long as possible.”

While the production definitely matters, so does Walcott’s ability to play on a daily basis while getting his game legs underneath him. Stability in that regard is physically encouraging.
“I expected it to be a little sore after the first two games, but honestly it's been a pretty good recovery,” he said. “Just going out and just feeling good, being able to put my best foot forward and put myself on the diamond's been awesome.”

Since his return from injury, Walcott has slashed .325/.411/.626 with eight homers and a 1.037 OPS through 31 games between Rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Double-A Frisco.
The Bahamas native's full return will find him back in the infield, but in the meantime, his offensive production has been a strong reminder of why he has top-10 prospect status.
Walcott's focus remains squarely on the rest of his abbreviated 2026 campaign -- namely the RoughRiders' 10 remaining regular-season games and the playoffs. Frisco punched its ticket into the Texas League postseason after securing the South Division's first-half title.
“I think the goal right now is just to finish strong, healthy, making sure that everything is good at the end of season,” he said. “I'm just gonna have a regular offseason and just attack it and then be ready for next year.”
