Back pain returned when he resumed baseball activities in May. He will undergo the procedure on June 5 and rest for one week before returning to his rehab. The goal is for the 21-year-old to return to game activity in six to eight weeks. More » (Last updated: June 3)
No. 66 River Ryan, RHP, Tigers
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: TBD
The right-hander has been slowed by injuries throughout his pro career, but the setback isn't considered serious. After missing time with a hamstring issue earlier this season, Ryan felt a twinge in his hamstring after his last start on June 17 against Triple-A Sacramento and the club decided to skip his next scheduled start. Rather than skip another turn in the rotation, he was put on the IL. On Aug. 1 he was traded to the Tigers as part of the Tarik Skubal deal, and Detroit optioned him to Triple-A Toledo. Expected return: TBD
Susana has started to throw off the mound at the Nationals Spring Training complex and is on track with his recovery timeline. The 22-year-old underwent lat surgery the week of Sept. 8 last year.
