BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today optioned infielder/outfielder Bobby Dalbec to Triple-A Worcester.

Dalbec, 28, has appeared in six games with Boston this season, making one start at first base, one at third base, and one as the designated hitter. In 300 career Major League games, he has hit .228 (199-for-872) with 46 home runs and a .737 OPS.
