Bring Out The Books

Bring Out the Books is the best double play—baseball and books.
Royals baseball is for everyone. So, we’re going to make it even more accessible while boosting children’s literacy here in Kansas City! Beginning on July 25, each home game, up to 100 fans can exchange a new or gently used children’s book for a View Reserved ticket to a game on that same date.
Here’s how it works: one (1) book donation per fan in exchange for one (1) ticket redemption per fan. Before the game, bring your books to Gate E at Kauffman Stadium. The ticket window will open 30 minutes before stadium gates and will remain open until first pitch or until all vouchers have been handed out, whichever comes first! Just hand in your book and receive your ticket voucher!

Bring Out The Books FAQs
What happens if you run out of vouchers?
We have 100 vouchers available for each game. Arrive early enough before gametime, and you’ll likely be among the first 100 fans.
Once I trade my book in and receive my voucher, how do I access my seat?
Once you’ve received your ticket voucher, you can either redeem your ticket in your MLB Ballpark App or take your ticket voucher(s) to any other open ticket window and pick out your seats for that day’s game there.
I’ve got a family of six? Can we all still attend?
As long as everyone brings a book, everyone gets a ticket. Up to 100 fans per game will receive vouchers, so just be sure to arrive before first pitch.
I’ve already got tickets, but I want to donate books. Will you still take them?
We would love your new or gently used books. Swing by Gate E and donate them on your way into The K. Or, even better, save them for a game you don’t have tickets to!
Can I save my ticket voucher for a future game?
Unfortunately, no. If you donate a book and receive a ticket voucher, that voucher is only good for a seat to that day’s game.
One book for one free ticket? What’s the catch?
There is no catch. Just donate your book before first pitch and you’re good to go!
