Omaha dropped to 1-3 in a five-game series. The Isotopes scored three in the first off of rehab starter Danny Duffy (4.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO). Adam Moore's three-run homer in the fifth knotted the score at 4-4, with Albuquerque plating a pair in the eighth. Irving Falu recorded three hits and is batting .379 (11-for-29) over his last nine games.

Whit Merrifield's two-run homer in the sixth broke a 2-2 tie as Northwest Arkansas won the opener at Tulsa. Merrifield recorded the first RBI on a squeeze bunt. Catcher Juan Graterol was 4-for-4 with two runs while Brian Fletcher added three hits and an RBI. Brooks Pounders scattered three runs on seven hits and three walks over 6.0 innings. He fanned eight, three more than his previous season-high.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (33-37)

The Blue Rocks were off due to the Carolina League All-Star Break. They host Salem (Red Sox) tonight.

Lexington Legends (0-1 2nd half, 33-36 overall) Savannah 5, Lexington 1

Lexington lost the second half opener to Savannah. Miguel Almonte fanned seven while allowing two runs, three hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. Bubba Starling doubled home Raul Mondesi in the fourth.

Idaho Falls opened with a shutout win at home. First-round pick Hunter Dozier was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in his professional debut. Patrick Conroy, a 32nd rounder in 2012, struck out seven while scattering three hits and two walks over 5.1 IP.

Mauricio Ramos scored on a fielding error, lifting Burlington to a 13-inning walk-off win in the season opener. Matt Tenuta held Pulaski to a run on three hits and a walk over 6.0 innings. Ramon Torres was 2-for-5 with a run scored.

The Royals opened with a loss as their complex co-tenants scored four in the first. Samir Duenez, Jecksson Flores and Cesar Gonzalez each posted two hits and an RBI, with Flores and Gonzalez scoring a run. Brawlun Gomez added two hits and a run.
