At the Detroit Tigers, we recognize the strength of our community in its fight against cancer. In partnership with Karmanos Cancer Institute, Strike Out Cancer Weekend offers us a chance to honor the bravery of those who have battled cancer, celebrate survivors, and remember loved ones we’ve lost. By promoting early detection and supporting critical treatment efforts, we stand united in the fight against this disease.

Baseball in Detroit holds a rich and storied history, thanks in large part to the Black baseball trailblazers who helped shape the game and pave the way for future generations. During Black in Baseball Weekend, we’re proud to partner with Comerica Bank to honor those whose contributions have built the foundation of Tigers baseball and continue to inspire generations to shape the game’s future.
