Yankee Stadium has seen more than a few champions walk through its hallowed grounds over the years. It’ll add two more to that elite grouping on Wednesday.
Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, fresh off winning the franchise’s first NBA title in 53 years, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the White Sox-Yankees game at 7:05 p.m. ET.
The Finals MVP, Brunson posted an impressive 32.6 points per game in the series against the Spurs to go alongside 4.6 assists. He’s also been in pinstripes before, throwing a first pitch and meeting with Aaron Judge back in 2024.
Hart, Brunson’s former Villanova teammate and a high-level defender, contributed 7.6 points per game and 9.8 rebounds throughout The Finals. Hart’s great uncle Elston Howard was a Yankees great, and Hart has even worn his jersey while arriving to Knicks games in the past.
