Major League Baseball announced its 2027 regular-season schedule on Thursday. It is slated to begin on Wednesday, March 24, with an Opening Night game streamed live on Netflix. The matchup is to be determined.
Traditional Opening Day is set for Thursday, March 25, with 14 games on the schedule. That date marks the earliest traditional Opening Day in Major League history (excluding special season-openers and international openers). The first full slate of games is scheduled for Saturday, March 27.
Speaking of full slates, all 30 teams will be in action on some of the biggest days on the 2027 calendar, including Jackie Robinson Day (April 15), Memorial Day (May 31), Lou Gehrig Day (June 2), the Fourth of July, Labor Day (Sept. 6) and Roberto Clemente Day (Sept. 15).
The 97th MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard will originate from Chicago’s Wrigley Field and air exclusively on FOX on Tuesday, July 13. Wrigley will become the only active MLB stadium -- and just the third in league history -- to host the Midsummer Classic four times (1947, ‘62 and ‘90).
The 2027 T-Mobile Home Run Derby will be streamed exclusively on Netflix on Monday, July 12, when everyone will hope that the wind is blowing out at Wrigley.
The season’s second half will begin on Thursday, July 15, with a standalone matchup on ESPN that will open MLB’s third annual Rivalry Weekend. That features 11 series between Interleague rivals and four other regional showdowns.
The final day of the 2027 regular season is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 26.
