The Astros are set to open their 2024 regular season campaign with a seven-game homestand against two AL East foes

The Astros open the 2024 season on Thursday, March 28 at 3:10 p.m. CT against the Yankees

HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros begin the 2024 Major League Baseball season on Thursday, March 28 at 3:10 p.m. CT against the New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park.

Opening Day is the first game in a seven-game homestand to begin the season, with four against the Yankees, March 28 – 31 and three against the Toronto Blue Jays, April 1 -3.

Several promotional items and events highlight the first homestand of the season, including fan-favorites like Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips and Sunday’s Kids Run the Bases presented by Olshan Foundation Services. Giveaway items for the homestand include a 2024 Schedule Magnet, presented by United Airlines, and City Connect Coasters, presented, by Sire Spirits.

Thursday, March 28 – Astros vs. New York Yankees: 3:10 p.m.

will be televised on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

All fans in attendance will receive a 2024 schedule magnet, presented by United Airlines.

The popular Opening Day Street Fest, presented by Budweiser will take place from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Festivities include live music, face painters and caricature artists, photo booths, inflatables, balloon displays, giveaways, food trucks and more. A game ticket is required to enter Opening Day Street Fest. Fans are encouraged to get to their seats early to take in the special Opening Day pregame festivities.

The National Anthem will be sung by Nashville recording artist and TV host Julia Cole, a native Houstonian. Our nation’s colors will be presented by Joint Services Color Guard. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by five-time All-Star, 2022 World Series Champion and recently retired Astros great Michael Brantley. The Play Ball call will be made by multi-platinum rapper 50 Cent.

Friday, March 29 – Astros vs. New York Yankees: 7:10 p.m.
Game two of the series with the Yankees is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Friday. The game will be broadcast on Apple TV+ with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

The National Anthem will be sung by Kendale Walker. Former Astros star and fan favorite Josh Reddick will deliver the ceremonial first pitch.

In a pregame ceremony, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker and Josh Hader will be honored as members of the 2023 All-MLB Team. Tucker’s 2023 Silver Slugger Award will also be celebrated.

Pregame Happy Hour, presented by Budweiser, will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar, where fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Draft, a live DJ and amazing views.

Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, featuring the musical theme Relentless, the new Astros campaign theme for 2024. Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.

A portion of the proceeds from the LGI Homes Share2Care 50/50 raffle will go to Big Love Cancer Care.

Saturday, March 30 – Astros vs. New York Yankees: 6:15 p.m.
Game three of the series with the Yankees is set for 6:15 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on FOX with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

National Anthem will be sung by Amanda Kate Ferris. With the Texas Children’s Houston Open going on at Memorial Park Golf Course, March 28-31, PGA TOUR rising star Sahith Theegala, currently ranked No. 15 in the world, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Also, in honor of the Texas Children’s Houston Open, the play ball call will come from a special guest from the Texas Children Houston Open.

A portion of the proceeds from the LGI Homes Share2Care 50/50 raffle will go to Pug Hearts, a non-profit rescue dedicated to giving unwanted and neglected Pugs a second chance.

Sunday, March 31 – Astros vs. New York Yankees: 1:10 p.m. CT
The first series concludes with game four against the Yankees on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

The National Anthem will be sung by The Heels, a country music trio that recently was named Country Group of the Year at the 2023 British Columbia Country Music Awards.

In a pregame ceremony, the Astros will celebrate Mauricio Dubón’s 2023 Gold Glove Award.

Kids Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions will take place following the game for kids in attendance ages 5-12.

Monday, April 1 – Astros vs. Blue Jays: 7:10 p.m.
The homestand continues with game one against the Blue Jays on Monday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

The Astros will continue Space City Mondays in 2024, wearing their Nike City Connect Space City jerseys during every Monday home game.

10,000 fans will receive City Connect Coasters, presented by Sire Spirits.

The Royal Canadian Air Force will celebrate its 100th birthday on April 1. In its honor, two Canadian Astronauts will be recognized in the Oxy Military Seats, Jeremy Hansen and Joshua Kutryk.

Tuesday, April 2 – Astros vs. Blue Jays: 7:10 p.m. CT
Game two against the Blue Jays is on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KTRH 740 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.

Every Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to all-you-can-eat hot dogs that are just $1 each Tuesday home game during the season.

The third annual Autism Awareness Night is set for Tuesday, April 2. This night features a special pregame ceremony and unique activations around the ballpark, including lower PA volume in sections 156, 305 and 405. There is also a sensory room located in Champions Pavilion by section 256. Fans can purchase a special Autism Awareness Night Alex Bregman jersey ticket add-on for just $25. The add-on features a white Astros jersey with orange, white, and blue puzzle piece lettering referencing Autism Awareness, the Astros and Alex Bregman. Autism Awareness Night will feature a special pregame ceremony with a check presentation to Bregman Cares, the charity of Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, which supports Autism Awareness. The seven-game homestand concludes with game three against the Blue Jays on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KBME 790 and TUDN 93.3 FM.
