Astros set to host ALCS Games 1 and 2, Oct. 19-20

Rally Towels, Postseason Street Fest, Celebrity First Pitches and more

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Astros are set to begin their sixth-straight ALCS at Minute Maid Park with Game 1 on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Game 2 on Thursday, Oct. 20. Both games are set to begin at 6:27 p.m. CT and will be televised on TBS. The Astros await their opponent in the ALCS, as they will face the winner of tonight’s Game 5 of the ALDS series between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees.

A special postseason Street Fest will begin starting three hours before games one and two. Fans must have a game ticket to attend Street Fest, which includes live music, food trucks, inflatables, games and more. For more information on Street Fest, visit Astros.com/streetfest. Fans are also encouraged to wear orange to both game one and game two of the ALCS.

Standing room only tickets are available for both games one and two of the ALCS. Fans can purchase tickets online at Astros.com/postseason. Due to an extremely limited number of individual game tickets that will be available for postseason games, fans are encouraged to guarantee their access to 2022 postseason tickets by purchasing 2023 Season Tickets. GAME 1 – 6:37 p.m. CT
The Astros will open game 1 of the ALCS on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:37 p.m.
The roof of Minute Maid Park will be closed for Game 1 of the ALCS.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by Houston Methodist. Street Fest will open to all fans with a game ticket at 3:30 p.m. CT, three hours before first pitch.

Country musician and Houston native Jack Ingram will sing the National Anthem and the Joint Forces Color Guard will present the colors. Roger Clemens, former Astro great and winner of seven Cy Young Awards, including the 2004 Cy Young Award with the Astros will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Another former Astro, Josh Reddick, will have the Play Ball call.

GAME 2 – 6:37 p.m. CT
Game 2 of the ALCS is set for 6:37 p.m. CT at Minute Maid Park on Thursday, Oct. 20.
The status of the roof of Minute Maid Park for Game 2 of the ALCS will be announced at a later time.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by H-E-B. Street Fest will open to all fans with a game ticket at 3:30 p.m. CT, three hours before first pitch.

Multi-talented vocalist and songwriter Belinda Munro will sing the National Anthem, while the Houston Fire Department Color Guard presents our nation’s colors.

Astros Hall of Fame pitcher Roy Oswalt will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Jonathan Daviss, a Conroe, Texas native and actor from Netflix’s hit show Outer Banks will have the Play Ball call.

The Astros Foundation is selling raffle tickets now for one lucky fan to win a 2022 Lexus LX 600, donated by Houston Area Lexus Dealers. Raffle tickets are 1 ticket for $40, 3 tickets for $100 and 8 tickets for $250, with all the proceeds benefitting the Astros Foundation. Fans are able to purchase tickets at Minute Maid Park, Memorial Park Golf Course during the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open and at other events around the greater Houston area until Nov. 18. Online sales of Astros Foundation raffle tickets will also be open only to legal residents of the Houston Metro Area who are 18 years of age or older. With all the proceeds benefitting the Astros Foundation, visit the Astros Memorabilia Tables located right behind Insperity Club at section 120 inside Minute Maid Park. Open for the entirety of every Astros home postseason game, fans can purchase one-of-a-kind bats, baseballs, photos, artwork and more signed by current Astros and Astros greats. Other items signed by Houston rappers are also available, along with special fundraising items with all the proceeds also going to the Astros Foundation.

GET YOUR ALCS GEAR
The Astros Team Store at Union Station has extended postseason hours, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on non-gamedays. On gamedays, the store will open at 9 a.m. and will close four hours before that game’s first pitch time.
