THE ASTROS FOUNDATION TO HOLD MISSISSIPPI TORNADO RELIEF DRIVE AT MINUTE MAID PARK ON MARCH 29
The supply drive will be held at 1800 Texas Ave. Parking Lot from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
HOUSTON, Texas – On Wednesday, March 29 from 8 a.m. to noon inside the parking lot at 1800 Texas Ave. across the street from Minute Maid Park, the Astros Foundation will be collecting gift cards, flashlights, hygiene items, baby items, nonperishables, water and more to help the victims of the devastating tornadoes that hit Mississippi from March 24-26.
The first 50 cars to donate will receive two tickets to the Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays game on April 17th.
Astros alums Jeff Bagwell, Enos Cabell and Jose Cruz will be on hand collecting items during the drive on Wednesday.
WHAT: Tornado relief supply drive where Houstonians can drive by Minute Maid Park to drop off the following supplies needed in Mississippi.
Items Needed:
- Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart gift cards
- flashlights
- lanterns
- Tylenol/Ibuprofen
- hygiene products (bathing wipes, toothbrush/toothpaste, soap, shampoo, sanitary napkins, adult diapers, deodorant)
- baby items (diapers, formula, baby food, bottles, blankets, clothes, wipes)
- coolers for food storage
- nonperishables
- water, buckets
- heavy-duty trash bags
- charcoal
- eating utensils and plates
